Days Inn by Wyndham Liberal KS

The room was clean and decent. The only reason I choose this hotel and paid double the rate of other hotels in the area was because it advertised itself as having a pool and hot tub, which I needed after 14 hours of driving. Upon check in I was told the pool and hot tub were out of service. Not sure if there's a conspiracy in KS, but every single time I've booked a hotel in Kansas I get told the same story when I arrive at the hotel, exhausted and sore and ready for a soak. Also, not the hotel's fault, but the whole town of Liberal, KS smells very strongly of cow poop. Luckily the smell is not inside the hotel. Anyway, if your pool and hot tub are out of service, you should let people know so they aren't disappointed on arrival, especially if they've paid extra just for those amenities.

The shower faucet was reversed (hit was cold, cold was scalding). I had to have my room cards reactivated twice. I came in one day and the front desk asked me if I was the one who reported seeing a bug. I said no and they asked if I’d been bitten. What kind of bug? I was a little freaked out but, I hadn’t seen a bug so, I just pretended it didn’t happen as my stay was just about over. I’d suggest staying across the street. It would cost probably double but, you won’t have to deal with this.

Our room was extremely worn. Someone had obviously left a dog alone in the room because furniture was ver scratched and chewed. Toilets paper holder half off the wall and dead bolt did not lock

The night clerk was efficient and nice. Heavy smoke odor in hallway. Rooms are looking very worn. Beds comfortable and room bery clean.

Old and tired property

Simple hotel, pet friendly, hot shower and bed, all that was needed. Little aged place but clean and kept daily.

No outlets to charge devices. 27 inch dim TV.

Not the worst but not the best. If u need a budget friendly hotel that isnt scary this is it.

Check in staff excellent. Room had not been properly cleaned. Surface clean only.

The staff was amazing. Expedia on the other hand was the absolute worst to deal with. Confirmation double the rate, customer service was unwilling to help on the phone for almost an hour to resolve the problem they made.

Mold and bugs in bathroom

The faucet in the bathroom did not have any pressure. It was a trickle. Also the handicap shower he had no idea how to turn on the showerhead.

After being charged for my one-night stay by Expedia, I was also charged twice by the hotel. I am still waiting for one charge to fall off. Expedia’s rate was higher than the hotel’s rate even after applying $9.99 from my rewards balance. Being charged more by Expedia left me feeling pretty sad. I’ve always trusted their rates. Regarding the stay—The property was okay for a short stay. Bedding was clean, and bed was okay. Breakfast was good. Overall, not a terrible stay but there were some cosmetic repairs and/ or maintenance needed in the room I stayed in (damaged to wall in corner of room/ mold possibly).
