Love this property!!! It was right on the beach. All the staff went above and beyond. They had great information about places to visit both on Tybee and River street. The bed are super comfortable with great pillows. This was a safe location and this time of year it was super quiet. This was one of the best experiences I had on Tybee.

My daughter and I had the pleasure of spending a night at the charming Desoto Beach Bed and Breakfast on Tybee Island, Georgia. On the morning of our departure, we were treated to an exquisite, home-cooked breakfast featuring all the classics—eggs, bacon, sausage, and more—truly a delightful way to start the day. The bed and breakfast is housed in a historic building, and you can feel the rich energy and character of the place as soon as you step inside.
The highlight of our stay, however, was the innkeeper, Rick. A true Scottish gentleman, Rick even wore a kilt, which initially made me wonder if it was a mere gimmick. But Rick is the real deal—a genuine Scotsman with a passion for history. In fact, he's an adjunct professor at a local college, and we had the pleasure of engaging in an in-depth, two-hour conversation about World War II. His knowledge and enthusiasm for history were captivating.
If you're looking for a relaxing retreat with a touch of historical charm, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be recommending Desoto Beach Bed and Breakfast to my parents and in-laws, as I’m confident it will exceed their expectations just as it did ours.

Great hotel on the beach. Clean, comfy, great neighborhood. 25 min to downtown Savannah. Love staying here. Good seafood restaurants near by. Very leisurely area

Staff was great! It was quiet. It was very clean.
I didn’t like the bathroom but we did not ask for handicap accessible. The commode was to low to the floor and the shower had no shelves to put things on and no where to sit the sink was not in the bathroom.

Boardwalk to the beach. Sitting area behind the dunes off the beach. Music playing. Nice place! What would make this place really cool is if the staff had uniforms. Simple matching vests with white or black shorts. All is retro cool and that would just make it.

Although the place could have been a little cleaner I would have given it five stars BUT.... During a long weekend stay we were sitting on the balcony enjoying the view when we heard a knock at the door, before I even got halfway across the room a girl with an empty bucket in her hand came walking through the door with a key in her hand. she seemed stunned that we were there. She claimed that she was there to "check the Phone" This was Saturday afternoon around 1:00 The do not disturb sign was hung on the door. I have to ask myself what was she really there for

Location is awesome. It is with a short stroll to the beach. Staff was cordial. Bathroom was dated. Tub showed rust stains. Worst part was the king size bed. Bed felt horrible. Matress has outlived its lifespan a few years ago.

Overall, it was very nice, the staff was very friendly. The bathroom door did not close and there was no working ventilation fan. Also minimal soundproofing.

We like the location of the property. Being able to have full beach view is very important to us, at a reasonable price. While the housekeeping was a bit lacking, the staff was very helpful and immediately addressed areas that were not as they should be. We will stay there again and I will recommend it to others.

Honestly the only positive thing about this location was the front staff. The bathroom toilet leaked so bad and sewage was all you could get smell. The carpet felt wet constantly and had to wear shoes the whole time. It was so run down and gross we left early because we couldn’t stand to stay another night.
Don’t waste your money, way over priced looks more like a pay by the hour type of motel.
