DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando

Property was great. Ice makers weren’t working though. I checked 3 floors and went to the front desk where I was told by an agent to keep searching. Another agent next to her said I could go to the bar, I requested they bring me ice to my room instead, an older gentleman brought it with a visible attitude. Other than that I didn’t interact with the employees much but the initial check in process was probably the most enjoyable.

Just stayed there for 11 nights with my girlfriend. Check in was quick and easy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned everyday which felt nice after long days at theme parks. Shuttle to Universal was very convenient. Pool area was awesome. Would definitely stay here again!

I had a great time at the hotel. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Also the restaurant staff were very friendly. Also the buffet staff did such a great job. The restaurant's bar tender was great. I loved everything about the hotel, very nice and clean room. Will definitely come back. ❤️

Lobby, restaurant and shops are pretty nice. Starbucks being on location is a plus. Parking was $99 for 3 nights which is absolutely insane. The rooms are outdated and smell bad. I had to switch rooms after the first night because we kept finding bugs on the bed and in the bathroom. 1-2 I wouldn't mind but after 2 big cockroaches showed up….nope. Told the front desk and showed them pictures. Front desk was helpful, apologized and switched my room. Manager didnt show her/his face though. Wasnt even offered one of those cookies for the inconvenience so thats why Im posting this review lol.

Location was key with this stay. The short walk to Universal was easy to do. The only issue we had was the inconsistent temperature of the room while sleeping. We only stayed two nights and used the fan feature, but overall the room was clean and a great place to stay.

Let me first say that the breakfast buffet was very good. The service there was excellent. Pool was nice. Bar by the pool was poorly stocked, which seemed to frustrate the bartender. We had a malfunctioning toilet and requested repair twice and I do not believe it was ever addressed properly. We requested that our room be cleaned and receive fresh towels. We received towels in a plastic bag, the dirty towels were left on the floor in the bathroom. Our room did not get cleaned for two consecutive days, despite our request in person at the front desk and after calling the front desk. Very disappointing considering we only stayed for four nights. When we complained to the front desk, the first response from the staff was "Did you take the do not disturb sign off the door?", trying to blame us for their ineptitude. Insulting to say the least! Housekeeping personnel were very noisy in the hallway outside our room in the mornings around 9 am, which prevented us from sleeping in a bit later. I would not recommend your establishment to anyone and I usually do not write such scathing reviews. We are Hilton Honors members. Hotel was super clean and the pool and jacuzzi were amazing. Also loved that they had a Starbucks downstairs. The breakfast buffet was a bit over priced but the food was excellent and our waiter was SO SWEET! Would definitely stay again :)
