My stay at the Double Tree was very respectful especially when my flight got cancel the staff understood my situation and I was given another room at a reasonable price. I have no problem staying at Double Tree in the near future 👍👍

Either a different room for our last two nights or a partial refund due to ongoing issues that have made our stay very uncomfortable.
We’ve had to call maintenance both yesterday and today. Unfortunately, this evening the technician left without resolving the issue. Our air conditioning still isn’t working properly—the unit keeps filling with water, and the loud dripping noise makes it hard to relax or sleep.
Additionally, one of the beds makes a loud cracking sound every time someone moves, adding to the disruption.
We were hoping for a restful stay, but so far it’s been quite the opposite. We would appreciate your assistance in resolving this as soon as possible.

Easy walk to Universal. The distance is the same as the car park. Good views of Universal from the rooms. Happy with our stay and would return.

Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay when visiting Orlando. It is directly across the street from Universal Studios. The property is incredible, the rooms are wonderful and clean. Outdoor pool is awesome! Starbucks, several restaurants and an ice cream shop are all on site.
My only complaint is the parking. When we booked through Expedia, it said paying for parking is optional. So my assumption was that there would be some free parking options. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Parking is $33/night plus tax. That was not something we budgeted for. Obviously we made it work. I showed the hotel staff what it said on the app. They looked it up on the website and it is worded and listed differently on there. Very weird it’s not the same.

The hotel is in need of some updates. The bed was terrible uncomfortable. There was a divot on my girlfriends side and my side angled and forced me to the edge. The other mattress on the other bed was not any better. The bathroom door was difficult to close and would not lock.
I was a bit surprised that the usual free breakfast buffet is no longer free.........and is quite expensive. It may be something new with all hotels these days.
I was shocked with the $33 a day plus tax charge to park you vehicle on site. I thought it was a bit pricey but maybe that is a standard charge these days.
On the positive side........The staff was great and it is a short walk to Universal.
