The staff was very friendly. Located in a nice, safe area, and a beautiful view of the bay. The restaurant is nice, the food is great, a bit pricey. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved this DoubleTree facility for the wonderful location at the Berkeley Marina, impeccably cleanliness, excellent on site restaurant, and very comfortable beds. The pool, hot tub, sauna, and work out areas were also well maintained.

I highly recommend it to anyone coming to the San Francisco area. It was quiet, clean, very comfortable, friendly staff, all services, everything was perfect!

Have stayed here over 25 times and love the rooms but customer service can be improved. The valet person never says hello, thank you or anything pleasant. Always on their phone Bartender no smile, slow and barely a thank you. Women at desk barely make you feel welcomed

Property needs an upgrade. We had a leaky toilet and no bathroom fan. The ‘marina view’ was a view of the parking lot. The gym equipment didnt appear to have ever been cleaned. Should’ve stayed elsewhere.

This is the fifth time that my wife and I have stayed at this hotel. We usually stay here when we’re gonna go to a concert at the Greek theater inside of Berkeley to make a long story short they stuck us in a room right by the entrance to the building and right next to the elevator so it was completely noisy up till about 3 AM and then again at 6 AM. My wife and I ended up with about four hours of sleep, which is not that good. worst hotel stay I’ve had in a long time. Worst part is when I went to check out I voiced my concerns with my stay and all the person said at the desk was have a nice day. Pretty poor.

Another great weekend stay. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean, could use a little upgrades here and there but overall in good clean shape. Love the property. Great location. There is a fee for parking. I’ll continue to come back!

My hotel visit was okay. This hotel is old. My room was clean and bed was comfortable, although the inside of the dresser drawers could have used a wipe down. I had a standard room in building 2 on the 3rd floor facing the parking area but still a nice enough view. I don't advise staying on the ground floor, it doesn't seem secure enough. The heat/AC unit was loud. It bothered me. The tissues from the tissue box smelled old. The conditioner bottle in the bathroom was empty. There is no free coffee in the lobby in the morning! I thought most hotels offer that. You can buy it, but it's expensive. They do provide free coffee in your room with a little coffee maker, but it is not the same. The free cookies were good though.

I made reservations for two nights, but Expedia canceled the second night for some unknown reason so I was stuck with no reservations. The double tree staff resolved the issue, but I will never use Expedia again.

We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel, particularly with a staff member named Albert. As tourists, we don't speak much English and struggled to communicate. Instead of assisting us, Albert was rude and refused to help, which made us feel unwelcome. Thankfully, someone from the kitchen staff went out of their way to assist us, and we greatly appreciated their kindness.
Despite trying different translation tools to communicate, most of the staff were dismissive and unhelpful. This made our stay unnecessarily stressful. Hospitality is about making guests feel comfortable, and unfortunately, this hotel fell short in that regard. We hope they can improve their service but we will never come back.
