DoubleTree by Hilton Berkeley Marina

$40 parking per day! Would have liked to know there was a exaggerated parking fee to park at the hotel. Had we known this upfront we would not have stayed there for that total price of room & parking we could of stayed at a higher quality hotel.

The rooms are very outdated: popcorn ceilings, dinged-up furniture and the smallest bathroom doorway and bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel. There's no way that door is to code!

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was very clean inside the room and throughout the hotel. Staff was nice at front desk.

The neighborhood was quite and close enough to San Francisco.

The first night they put me in a room that basically had the elevator in it. It was so loud! I asked the next day to be switched to a different room and they did. Love the indoor pool and hot tub. The resturant on site is nice. Great location!

Amazing location for views! Indoor pool area was great idea considering the windy weather. Most staffs that we came acrossed the hotel were nice. Not so great experiences at the only onsite restaurant dining, Boathouse (yes, not once, gave them 2 chances). 1st try, we were taken to a table with 2 dirty chairs (which I had to personally wiped clean, the least dirty one, so I can have enough chairs to sit for my party of 3). Table was not that clean either. Chocolate milk for child was served in a Starbucks cup that's dirty with spills around the outside of the cup. Then sever was telling us to rush because breakfast and her shift were ending. Host could've told us they're done for breakfast and stop seating, we got there at 9:30 when signs says breakfast serve till 10am. Also, remember I spend time moving/cleaning chairs before I set down to look at menu. 2nd chance, we were done by the hostess at the host stand from the different greetings/attention we get from other guests that came after us. So for dinning, there's another restaurant with great views and service nearby. (To be fair, the morning host was nice and welcoming, and there was another server that was clearly there past 10am, not ours, was also very nice and helpful after 10am).

Don’t stay here. Very limited facilities such as water, vending machine, in-room coffee/tea. Just bare minimum everything. Staff is very rude if ask for anything// extra towel, water bottle and such. No description of site facilities. Remote locations means has to drive 15 to 20 minutes for anything

Parking is very expensive forty dollars, I parked across the street and had no issues.

While the staff was very friendly, the items in the room were stained and broken. As a result, we had to be changed to a new room.

Needs updates

Have stayed here over 25 times and love the rooms but customer service can be improved. The valet person never says hello, thank you or anything pleasant. Always on their phone Bartender no smile, slow and barely a thank you. Women at desk barely make you feel welcomed

Property needs an upgrade. We had a leaky toilet and no bathroom fan. The ‘marina view’ was a view of the parking lot. The gym equipment didnt appear to have ever been cleaned. Should’ve stayed elsewhere.
