DoubleTree by Hilton Berkeley Marina

The views are beautiful. The park nearby is lovely and interesting. The hotel was clean and convenient. The staff was very helpful and kind. The room was huge and comfortable.

We thought at first it was going to be beautiful, since its on the marina. The lobby and restaurant were nice. The botel itself is very rundown. Our room was dirty and we only received 2 towels and one washcloth. The deck was really dirty and had one broken chair and table on it. I called down to the front desk to ask for more towels and washcloths, but we never received any. I also adked where our other chair was and she said our room only had one. Of course if you looked at the other balcony rooms, they had 2, 3 & 4. FYI, this was an upgraded room with a marina view and balcony. Lastly, the hotel hallways and elevator reaked of marijuana. I definately would not recommend this hotel.

They overbooked the hotel and didnt have my room but they did put me in a suite . Really wanted the Marina view for my wife but oh well. Other than that its was a good stay

My problem was i couldnt figure out how to access the outside door. Very frustrating. It was late and i was tired. Finally got into my room which was nice but i thought i had a balcony room. Instead it was a tiny slab of concrete and my slider wouldnt open.

Checkin was good. Had a cheap room, so they gave me the old one. There were at least 10 pieces of tape all over the walls from the previous party. Things were generally dirty. A previous furs threw their shorts on the walkway roof and no employee has gotten them down for weeks. Love the location, but the room sucks. The pool and other services were nice

The staff was very friendly, and the location on the marina is very nice. However, the actual rooms are very outdated and not very nice. Our tub had hair in it, there are spider webs everywhere, and the small elevators didn’t work well the first day. I was also disappointed tgere were no complimentary coffee stations. I would not recommend.

Was disappointed. Parking is per a day+tax, but being in the marina you have to pay, there is no overnight parking outside their lot on the marina. room was spacious but a bit outdated. Really needs some updating. I requested a balcony, I got a sliding door (which didn’t open and the curtains were falling) to an overgrown bunch of shrubs. Courtyard is not great, so many flies and dead greenery. Parking lot is walking hazard, due to holes and asphalt lifted. Info said they offer room service, NO they don’t. They have a little market in the main building but very overpriced and was not great food. And you can hear EVERYTHING, in the corridors, above and side of your room. And I do mean EVERYTHING. So if you’re a lot sleeper or going to just relax, this is not for you. Only thing I loved was that it was so close to the water with hiking paths and a park. At first I felt their price was fair for all the amenities they offered, but either they need to update the property page or they don’t care and are just lying. It was okay for what it was, but would not use again.
