Very comfortable hotel on the Berkeley marina. Staff was helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Room was small, but nicely appointed and comfortable. Good value for the money. We enjoyed our stay.

This hotel has a beautiful setting right on the bay, with lovely walks surrounding it. Staff are friendly and helpful. I appreciated the convenience of the café. There is a daily parking charge; I found it less expensive to ride-share. Although the hotel was busy when I was there, my room was utterly quiet. I do wish hotels consistently provided an armchair and a desk chair in rooms; this hotel isn't the only one to not have an armchair in a king-bed room.

I would definitely stay here again. Clean and safe. Comfy beds. Very quiet. Right next to a great park that has a paved trail as well as unpaved trails that lead to a dog park. Love the cookies. Will definitely stay here again!

The first thing great about this hotel was the check in. Tanzania (Tanzy) was super friendly, efficient and made it a pleasant experience overall. She gave us regular and gluten free cookies. Room check in is 3 pm, but as we got there before noon, she still went the extra mile to get us in right away. And we were very pleasantly surprised how nice the room was! On the first floor, with a patio overlooking the marina. The food and staff in the restaurant were also great! The only detraction was that the bathroom is a bit dated. But not a big deal. Especially since everything else so nice. We would definitely come back.

Had a very nice stay. Drove up to visit Cal-Berkeley. Close enough to campus but still had some space. Very nice facility and grounds. Rooms were nice too. Restaurant and Bar was not open during the day when I needed it, and that was disappointing. Lobby area could be better arranged for guests to hang out. Was woken up by a guest in another room having some kind of medical issue- but that was taken care of after about 20 minutes. Felt safe there- and thought the service was very good.

Lovely stay at The DoubleTree . Staff was pleasant and helpful. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, and gym were clean and in good condition. Atmosphere was peaceful. My family bought breakfast as an extra, it was a fantastic decision! Food was great! Highly recommended.

For a Hilton property absolutely pathetic. Super dirty and outdated. Benefiting solely from its location. I booked breakfast through Expedia and both Expedia and the Hotel said that I didn't and that there wasn't even a breakfast option available to book. Only a la carte breakfast at the Boathouse. I will definitely never return, extremely disappointing!

The Double Tree at the Berkeley Marina has so much unrealized potential. The front desk employees were professional and friendly. I asked for additional coffee for the room and it took over 2 hours and a follow-up call before it was delivered. We were in a room far away from the main part of the hotel overlooking the parking lot. It was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom could use a remodel (the paint in the porcelain tube was peeling). The rate we got through Expedia was much better than on Hilton's website, so I'm thinking that maybe there are remodeled rooms somewhere on site. The grounds are right on the marina and are well kept. With a little investment this could be a destination hotel. Currently is fine for a couple of nights.
