As a Hilton honors member, I will never use any of their properties again due to this hotel. Because their sink didn't drain and I am not physically fit, the sink was dirty. I told the staff and apologized to the cleaning staff and left a tip for them. Getting home I saw a charge of $78.75 on my account. I contacted the hotel and told them the ordeal and received a 'well, to bad' then protested the charge thru Expedia and received no help from the hotel and the charge remained, I did receive a 'coupon' from Expedia for future stays which I will not be using at any Double tree, Tru, Et. al. Next I protested thru my bank and the charge remained. OK, I was sick not due to drinking or such, there were no other messes and I could not clean up the sink after because 'their sink did not drain!!!!' The next day I told the staff, talked to the cleaning crew, left a tip, got charged a fee, talked to the hotel again, protested thru Expedia, protested thru my bank. Enough, never again. I travel frequently to Madison and Green Bay and thank goodness I had so much trouble with them, the next time I had to go to Madison I searched for not a Hilton property and found a location in Wauk...ee that was the same distance, little less money on DoubleTrees normal rate (on the day I looked Double Tree doubled their prices, Cinko de Myo) and this new location accually charged me $66 instead of the quoted $132 and was 3000% better then I have ever experienced, and I am experienced.

The day of check in I received a call at 5:28pm telling me they didn't have a room for me because they overbooked! Wanted to move me to another hotel. Problem with that was I was with another couple staying at that hotel. The front desk offered us no solution to keep us together. I suggested they move both of us to another hotel so that we could still be in the same place. They said they couldn't do that.This was the first time I have used Expedia and it will be the LAST!! In all the times I have stayed in hotels(which was a lot being I travel for my job) I have NEVER been called the day of check in and been told they didn't have a room for me. This was VERY UNACCEPTABLE AND STRESSFUL being our group was split up and were forced to stay a different hotels!!!

The guy that checked me in was friendly but they gave me the incorrect room at first - a double queen when I had reserved a king. He accommodated quickly and apologized for the mistake. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t the best. There was a layer of dust on things and clumps of hair on the bathroom floor. Also, the bathroom sink was clogged. All of the pillows on the bed were the same and more filled than I prefer. It’s a decent place that I’ve been coming to for a number of years. Price is right for the level of comfort and you can’t beat the location.

I booked my hotel on the basis of its location to my meeting. When I arrived around noon, I was informed check in time is 4:00 PM. It would be tight, checking in and getting to my meeting at 4:30, but since it is walkable (again, the reason I booked the hotel), I thought it would be fine. Upon my return at 4 PM for check in, the front desk informed me the hotel was “overbooked,” and thus my reservation was being transferred to another hotel down the road. Since I didn’t have time to drive to the new hotel (which I did not choose), check in, and drive back, I was late for my scheduled plans. This mistake on the hotel’s behalf would have been far less impactful if they had COMMUNICATED anything at all the entire afternoon, during which I was waiting for my room. At least I could have adjusted my plans. The front desk said they couldn’t communicate with me because my reservation was booked through Expedia. If such is the case, it’s not the fault of the customer. Obviously, the management needs to work this out with third-party reservation entities such that appropriate communication can take place. Regardless, it’s inexcusable to overbook a hotel in 2025. I presume this is managed with software, which should track the rooms automatically, and if not, counting the numbers of rooms and reservations is not difficult math. It is simply unfair to pay for a hotel room at a different location which I did not book, with no input whatsoever.

Front desk staff was great and was able to accommodate my early check in request. I was not pleased with housekeeping. The bed was made, but other things in the room were consistently missed; no bath mat towel one day, in a 4 day stay they never restocked the coffee in the room. I had to get the coffee and cups from the front desk. We've stayed here before and had a good experience. Not sure what happened this time. Mentioned the issue to front desk 3 times, but behavior continued throughout our stay.

I've stayed here multiple times recently each time with my dog and when I made the reservation I was sure to put that I had a dog yet they put me in the worst possible room on the second floor next to the stairs and ice machine looking out at their heating and cooling unit 5 ft out the window on the roof of the first floor I was going to look past that except when I put the "do not disturb" sign on my door housekeeping still came in. Towels were replaced. I was there 2 nights. I had a lot of monies worth of gem mint collectibles in the room and don't appreciate them entering when I ask them not to.
