I am writing regarding my recent stay at the DoubleTree Hotel on September 6, 2025. Unfortunately, my experience was far below the standards I expected, and I am requesting a refund for my stay due to the multiple issues I encountered.
Upon arrival, the hotel lobby had a strong cigarette odor and mosquitos were present, resulting in immediate bites. When I entered my room, I was met with an overwhelming sewer-like smell mixed with cigarette smoke. The room itself did not appear clean, as the bedsheets looked dirty and unsanitary.
One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was for the pool, as I was traveling with children. However, I was informed upon arrival that the pool was closed due to contamination and under remediation. This was extremely disappointing, as it was a key part of our stay.
Additionally, the staff was not welcoming or accommodating when I raised these concerns. I requested to speak with the general manager, but was told he was unavailable. The lack of support and care for guests only added to my dissatisfaction.
Overall, the conditions of the hotel were unsanitary, uncomfortable, and not reflective of the DoubleTree brand. I left extremely disappointed and do not intend to book at this property again. Given the circumstances, I am formally requesting a refund for the night of September 6, 2025.
