Great location for the event we attended. We were able to walk to it. The facility was clean and the staff were very friendly. We will return if our event has the same venue next year.

Honestly, I had the best experience here. Everyone was so friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Bed is really comfortable, but I do wish they had fluffier comforters. Also, you exit the hotel and Fremont Street is right across the street. In the other direction is the Mov Museum. Cooler and more down to earth, the downtown is clean and safe. Lots of free entertainment.
The Grand is my go to from now on.

Clean and close to Fremont as we like to be. Great food around the hotel. Reasonable prices to stay in downtown. Although the hotel experienced elevator issues and ice makers not working. We made do. Will return next time in Vegas

The hotel property was pretty worn down - and needs a makeover. It also is not as close to the Strip as we expected when factoring in traffic and parking limitations on the Strip. There was no refrigerator in the hotel room.

Prices way too high gor what we got. A room with only hair dryer and safe. No coffee pot. No refrigerator. TV too small, hard to see, and had to get a repair. Toilet paper hatd to reach for elderly. No gift shop. No complementary breakfast. Very disappointed.

From the moment we walked in the employees and service were subpar. The man who checked us in found the reservation and immediately said okay I need a card. When I asked him to tell me what was going to be charged on the card he stumbled his best through an explanation of the price and the security deposit, and was annoyed I wanted to use two different cards. We made it to our room which can be described as dusty at best, the cleaning staff needs to step it up. Our first night was hell because all night from our room you can here the ridiculously load moan of the elevators, and thats the night we found out why they supply you with two dinky water bottles a day, the water in the room is not potable. The next morning we went with a Stanley water bottle to the bar in the casino and asked the bartender to fill it up his response to our request was to tell us "This is a bar I can give you a cup of water" which was a dixie cup size or we could buy a plastic bottle. The Downtown Grand definitely has it's middle finger to saving the planet. The next day we needed the room cleaned so I called house keeping they were rude over the phone and didnt come to clean. One good thing is that the noise from Fremont street most likely won't bother you over how loud the elevators are. I will not stay here again! And Shame on Downtown Grand. Scummy place!

We enjoyed the close proximity to Fremont and everything that comes with it. The area around the hotel had certain areas that seemed unsafe and smelled of urine, bothont the way to Fremont and in the parking structure. They was a vehicle that was either broken into or crashed since the lights, bumper was still there.

Amazing place. In old Vegas, walking distance to Freemont street. Clean and welcoming. Would be all 5s but a couple of the elevators and one of the blackjack machines were out of order.

Clean rooms, staff was helpful and polite, good food..Only complaint is I was in the Tower side and the noise from the street people on the street was loud into the night. If I stay again, I would ask for a room away from that side.

I liked the free parking and the easily accessible parking garage. I also liked the location.
But with that location came a lot of noise.
The parking garage needs a deep cleaning and the stairwells smelled of urine.
The hotel itself is decent, but has a number of small issues. Our room was not cleaned of the days we were there, the sink drain was very slow, one of our nightstand drawers was missing, the ventilation unit was very loud and would make a loud clunking noise when it turned on and off. Our room smelled of smoke. Probably from years before.

Don't offer daily cleaning but you can get more towels, etc if needed. Very small shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Would like bigger. Plus only bar soap. Prefer body wash.
