The first room, I was placed in the heat didn’t work. I went down to the front desk and the Lady immediately moved me into another room bigger and better overall, Its a wonderful place to stay. I just didn’t like that the back parking lot was dark dark. Coming in and out at night you still need to have lights on. They didn’t have any lights in the back and it made me feel unsafe. But overall the service is great and the rooms are beautiful.

Checked in late on the 18th was guaranteed a nice warm breakfast at the restaurant but the next morning there was no cook to run the restaurant

Dude Rancher lodge is a western themed facility in middle of town. Very good prices compared to some of the other hotels around. It is getting to be a little older now and may look a little more worn than some of the pictures look. Still very usable and slept comfortably. The staff were friendly and on it.

We weren't interested in anything bougie. We just wanted a clean, affordable place to stay while in town to visit family, and we found that at the Dude. The staff is absolutely phenomenal, off street parking is a dream for weary out of town drivers, and the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The motel is walking distance from wonderful eateries, bars, and downtown shopping. This will be the only place we stay when visiting in the future. Fantastic experience.

So I went into this stay with the proper expectations and it was a great stay. It’s a vintage hotel that’s a unique stay in downtown Billings. Always like to look for those unique places when on the road. It had everything you NEED for a nights stay at a good price. Downstairs rooms are direct access to the inner parking lot and there are rooms upstairs accessed thru the lobby. I would stay again if in the area.

Was disappointed that the fireplace is not used! Since that was their main photo I was looking forward to sitting there and enjoying it. Breakfast option a bit pricey at $8 but perhaps it is a big breakfast.
