Great stay & great customer service! First, Ian, at the frint desk was amazing! So friendly & welcoming, super helpful and then Diane (or Diana) also went above & beyond to provide ex excellent customoer service. Hadnt planned an overnight stay 2 weeks later on return trip but ended up needing to. Immediately booked here. This will be my go to place traveling between Michigan & Minnesota from now on, as long as there's availability. Fairly basic rooms, but very clean & comfortable & customer service means a whole lot to me!

Nice and quiet, and the staff are amazing and friendly. I felt welcomed and like I was old friends with them already! We also did a wipe down before we began unpacking and it was already spotless. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for an inexpensive stay at a good place.

The staff were very friendly. The room was overall clean, but could have been cleaner. The beds were ok. They were not the most comfortable beds, but did the trick. Breakfast was decent. The view of Lake Superior was fantastic. We had a nice balcony, but it rained the whole time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

My significant other and I stayed here for a long weekend. We were placed in the motel style room side, previously we have stayed in the other side of the hotel. We enjoyed the other side rather than the motel style rooms for a couple reasons. The motel style rooms are smaller, the set ups in the room could be more effective in using the space, and the toilet seat was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on. Additionally when we entered the room we noticed a stain on the comforter and only one roll of toilet paper. It's not that we needed an extra one but it's always nice to have a back up just in case. The walls are incredibly thin and we had a neighbor that was continuously talking on the phone, we could hear her clear as day.
The people at the front desk were really nice! The view was great outside the hotel. There's really close access to everything in town.

The room was clean, but the bed was uncomfortable and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were evidently used by a previous guest (1/2 full).
My main concern was the snow removal. Made for some treacherous walking in some areas (including getting to the lobby to check-in.

We had a wonderful stay! Right across the street from Lake Superior. It is difficult with inexpensive hotels to be sure they are safe and comfortable. This one is a keeper. The staff was friendly and helpful as well!
