Extended Stay America Suites Minneapolis Maple Grove

Took 5 minutes for someone to come to the desk at check in and the place is dirty! The clerk didn’t offer anything to us or even greet us. I said we are here to check in and she said - name? Then proceeded to not say another word. The clerk in the morning was worse! Asked what do you want ? I said checking out and handed her our room keys that she threw on the front counter and started to walk into the back and when I stood there - she said - do you need something else. I told her. Wasn’t comfortable leaving my room keys that had the room number on the holder just laying out. Someone could grab the. And access the room. She never punched anything in the computer that would deactivate the keys she said no one would do that and walked to the back.

It is in a nice location. Some of the facilities are a bit outdated. Friendly and professional staff.

We booked it for 5 nights but only stayed there 2 or 3 because it was such a poor experience. Maple Grove and Plymouth are generally safe areas but we did not feel safe there after a couple experiences we had with others. We didn't like that there was no remote for the TV, dishes and utensils in unit, crooked lamp shades, 2 of 3 lamps not working, 2 work station tables but only 1 chair, a shower tub that looked so bad neither of us wanted to use it, the floor mat towel was folded nicely over the tub edge when we arrived but totally soaked wet, the kitchen sink looked awful (apparently hard water stains), the chair for the work station had stains whereby my husband didn't want to sit on it and he said the mesh back of the chair felt sticky. Those were a few of the things we didn't like. We did like that it had working air conditioning. We were grateful that the reception desk could give us a tv remote and dishes and utensils. In general, I really would not recommend staying here.

Room was clean but limited staff. Always waited for receptionist. It was okay

Facility very poor condition. Bed and bathroom stained and smelled bad. We could not spend time there. We did receive a refund and left.

First, the staff on hand did everything she could to help me, including check at least up to five different rooms for me to have something. I will admit that I did not know that you could not check in past midnight. I had issues to where I couldn’t make it to the property until 1245a. She did everything she could find me a room so I was very appreciative of that. She struggled to find any open rooms because the organization of who was staying on property was almost nonexistent and her iPad that she had to use to check me in was not functioning almost at all, so she physically had to go into rooms to see if people were occupying those rooms so that I could get a room. After she found me an After she found me, the bathroom door handle was broken off and sitting on the counter. The bathroom counter has stains all over it. The bathtub where I was supposed to take a shower was ridiculously dirty and moldy. There were numerous punctures or holes in the walls. One outlet near a bed. The other outlet wasn’t even installed correctly and was literally in the wall by wires only. The mattress that I slept on hasn’t been changed out in years and you could tell. I normally don’t expect much for a room at that rate however, I do expect a room to be somewhat clean and usable. Honestly, the room that I had was a complete joke and the pictures that I see on Expedia are either one or two rooms that they’ve updated or don’t actually exist. I have no idea to be honest. Staff was very inattentive and usually not at the front desk. The grab and go breakfast was really non existent. No coffee and only a couple nutrition bars.

Staff is nice but it does seem like they are over worked and a might need some more help

This hotel was ok for the price. Its in a good location that is safe and quiet. However my bath tub didnt have the lever to make it a shower, it appeared as though it had been cut off or something. Staff took note of it but seemed too busy to actually fix anything. The on the go breakfast lacked options so i was glad i brought my own food.

I called 3 times to make sure I had a room available and the staff assured me that I did. Got there checked in and unloaded the car got to the room for it to be dirty. Went back to the front desk to tell them and was then informed that I didn’t actually have a room and that the hotel was in fact overbook

This property needs a huge influx of money and TLC to bring it back to a desirable place to stay. The room was not just dirty but the door handle on the bathroom fell off, the tub was rusted and dripping, and the bed was old and saggy with ripped linens and poorly made. The lobby had a caution wet floor sign but the floor was actually dirty and the glass doors were filthy. The staff was pleasant but didn't appear to take a lot of pride in the place. I could not recommend this place and regret making the reservation here.

I like the kitchen options but overall had a very dirty feeling. I ran out of TP, without additional stock available in the unit. Front desk staff not super welcoming or helpful at all. Air unit smelled moldy.

Smells funny around from smoking. Dirty flooring chairs etx. Staff incompetent.

Things that did not work, half the lamps and the tv. The carpet was disgusting, I’d only wear my flip flops in the room. The bath tub leaked all night. I had to request the front desk guy around 11pm to ask guests who were parting on the front porch to leave they were so loud. I had to be up at 5am and couldn’t fall asleep until midnight. I’ve stayed in many ESAS across the country and never had an experience like this. Front desk guy was great, only good thing about my stay. I’d actually like my money back. Don’t stay here!

Hotel is fine if your plan is to go rt to sleep and ignore the fact that the property needs attention. Simple fixes like paint could go along way. Anyway, I’m assuming that is why the rate is low since things are in need of attention.

This hotel is very run down. Amenities are scant.

I would never stay here again!!! They ran my card three times in one day, they rooms are trash, to be charging $90 a day and not to have any one clean my room after a month of stay, the front desk clerks are rude, loud and unprofessional… They make u wait in the hallway for no reason! And I’m going to file a complaint with BBB, and others outlets…. Who ever is running this place they are going to run it in the ground… BAD BUSINESS, THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE CRAPPPP
