Extended Stay America Suites Pittsburgh West Mifflin

I booked this stay as a last minute opening; the PGA tournament was in town and everything else was either sold out or priced 4-5 times normal rates. The positives are the hotel is very clean and I felt safe inside and outside of the hotel. Those are the only positives. I booked this extended stay with the intention of cooking dinner and breakfast in the full kitchen to save money by not eating out. I have stay in many extended stays with kitchens all over the US; this is the first that had absolutely zero cookware, utensils, plates, or cups in the room. I had to request items at the front desk and wait 5 minutes for the front desk attendant to “give me what they had” - one plate, one mug, a fork and butter knife, and a serving spoon so large I could not possibly eat off of it. No pots or pans were available. This did not in anyway meet the bare minimum of what is expected in a room with a full kitchen. The “grab and go” breakfast is in a corner next to the elevator, only one person can use it at a time and the line of people waiting blocks the elevator. Extended stay hotels usually cater to business groups, but thete is absolutely no place for people to meet, sit down, talk, hangout in this hotel. Another common feature of extended stay hotels is ice makers in the freezer than can produce a batch of ice in about 30 minutes. At this location, the only option for ice is plastic trays that will take several hours to freeze. No ice machines and a bottle of water cost $4.

Would not extend a courtesy 12:00 pm check out.

I liked the room. It was very nice and the air conditioning worked good. I was disappointed that we couldn’t get ice on the premises.

The light in the room didn’t work nor did the microwave work. Mentioned it to staff and they said it will be fixed in the morning and the never fixed anything. I wouldn’t stay here for free. This place needs updated and the hallways smell bad

A lot of traffic construction in the area. Takes a long time to get around the local areas.

The room was unsatisfactory. Desk chair was extremely stained, stained bedskirt, ants & roaches. Shower bar was broken.

The room description said queen size bed, it was a deluxe twin. The Tv remote had no back and when we tried to watch Tv, we couldnt turn up the tv. The remote button was broken and no volume button on tv. The hallway smelled like burnt rice and weed. The fridge was leaking.the "continental breakfast" was coffee, stale nutriment bars and oatmeal packs. Never again

I was first given a room that reeked of cigarette smoking, which triggered an asthma attack. I was then transferred to a double, even though I booked a king. Then finally given a king. All in all, it was not a pleasant experience.

No breakfast, room stunk like piss, toilet went flush, dirty floors

I needed a room asap and i was allowed to take my dogs. The room was clean and inviting.

I liked that i was immediately greeted when I walked into the lobby to check in. The woman behind the desk was cracking fun jokes and making my Fiancée and I feel welcome right away. Check in went flawlessly, and our room was waiting on us in a very clean state. Quite spacious for the small room that we had. Very nice bathroom and shower with a full mirror and almost therapeutic shower head. Plenty of towels had been provided. Comfortable bed, with 3 pillows. (Ask for more). My only complaint with the room was the TV was outdated and the channel guide system didnt work all that well.

Clean room, staff was nice. Only weird thing was that were no cups on the room so I would suggest at least putting some paper cups in the room.

It was awful!! Do not come here!!! I left early and they didn’t offer any refund. The springs in the bed was coming out of the bed and make loud noises, there were holes in the walls, the tub had stains in it- the hallway floor were disguising. The service was horrible~ staff were rude!! Stay away!!!! I wouldn’t put my dog in this place!!!!! Stay away!!!!!!!!! It didn’t have anything they say it did. The beautiful picture on the website were false. I lost money.

This was through no fault of the hotel..They were working on water lines out side of the hotel and lost all water to the facility. There was no water to go to rest room. i had to find another hotel. Now to stop my card from being charged

They allow pets

There was a really nasty smell throughout the hotel. Breakfast was very lack-luster. For a continental breakfast it was pretty lame.

It was cool there staff is police friendly though

We were not there very long. Only long enough to sleep pretty much. The rooms were great, but I was very upset that I booked 2 rooms and they were not even on the same floor.

It was an ok place to stay at, more like a motel feeling with floors
