Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Lafayette South

I have stayed here several times before but this is the first time that the air conditioning would not stay on where we set it. It kept going to a set temp. It’s was enough to make us consider not staying here any more

There was a very distinct smell in my room, the staff tried to accommodate but it was full. However, it proved a difficult stay due to the smell.

Every time I visit I stay here and have never had a bad experience great place to stay

We stayed here for my daughter’s college orientation and it was convenient for getting to UL. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was nice and the beds were comfortable. I also loved the view of the river. I hate that we were not able to try out the pool, which was why I originally chose this hotel but the weather did not permit it on the day that we had available. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

The best part was the view from our room to the Vermilion River!

Pool was out of service

Absolutely loved the hotel. Kids loved it as well. Huge shower in the room we had. Pool was a little low on water but still swimmable. Going to be looking into a rewards program if they offer one.

Terrible experience from surly staff to poor conditions.

Reserved two rooms in an area familiar to us. Overall, the hotel was nice. One room was very clean. The bathroom in the other needed some attention and it was missing a blow dryer. There was also a storm overnight and there was a leak that pooled on top of the air conditioning unit. All of this was reported to the front desk at check-out. The mini fridge is very small. It would not accommodate all the items from our 28-quart ice chest. We had to split the contents it between the two rooms. Breakfast was typical fare. Appreciated the assortment of dairy, lactose-free and plant milk options.

The staff was very professional and friendly. It is close to a variety of restaurants and has plenty of parking.

Everything about this property was okay. It was clean, quiet, the gym was clean. Didn't get breakfast but it smelled good. Overall the one night stay was okay.

Noisy AC; Poor quality breakfast

I have stayed there before and was happy to return. I find it safe and the service is excellent. Special appreciation to Alisha at the front pass upon my registration. She was patient and very committed to getting things set for me and my group After a problem with my booking agency. I was very impressed by her service and attitude.
