We arrived late due our multiple flight delays. I kept in contact with the hotel and notified them of our late arrival. Once we arrived at the hotel, the room that I reserved was no longer available. The hotel was booked up completely due to a Jazz festival and other events scheduled around the city.
Jonathan, the concierge, was very helpful and upgraded our room for no additional charge. The room we were given was beautiful and very spacious. They did have to give us an additional roll away bed to accommodate my family. Even though the hotel ran out of blankets and pillows, housekeeper was very kind and did their best to make us feel welcoming and accommodate our needs in the early hours in the morning.
Definitely would stay at this hotel again. The hotel is in walking distance to all tourists spots, amazing dining, and lake scenery.

Service was off from start to finish. Check in was awkward and unfriendly, bar staff were gossipy and comparing to one another and housekeeping came in before I could answer the door to say we were still in the room. Not the Fairmont experience I’d anticipated. Bed was comfortable, rooms were quiet, but the atmosphere was really not great.

This is a lovely property; the only failings were at the margins between 4 and 5 star service. The two examples I can offer are that I left a plate of leftover food outside our room mid-evening and in the morning it was still there. A five star hotel would have removed it. The other example is that I had gone down to the front desk to ask for shaving kits. They said it would be up in 15 minutes. As it got later into the evening, I put the do not disturb sign on the door and got ready to go to bed. Housekeeping knocked on our door repeatedly and I answered it and took delivery of the shaving kits. I do not object to the 'delay' in delivering the kits, but at a five star hotel they would have placed them in a small bag and hung the bag on the doorknob so I could pick them up in the morning.
This are not 'big deal' items but they highlight the difference between four and five star service. Still, it is a lovely hotel with nice people and a nice restaurant and the room is bigger than lower-tier hotels so I would recommend it. Just moderate your expectations slightly.

I enjoyed my stay. I had a nice view and was in a good spot downtown, close to shopping and the park. The front desk was super helpful, and the room was nice and clean. They also had good deals on dining at the hotel restaurant and bar. My only complaint is that the coffee machine was dusty, and there was no honey for tea. Overall, I would stay here again.

Our initially assigned room had a noice AC making the wall (which had a mounted TV) shake a lot. We were then re-assigned to a new room.
Rooms seem to be outdated and not like the photos. It was underwhelming.

Highly recommend this hotel; I was in Chicago visiting for a festival and the room was in excellent conditions. Location was great since I dint get to spend money on Uber’s. Overall I would definitelly recommend to stay here.
