What I like about this is that is near every attraction that I wanna go to and I hate that the parking for public transport was not available and hard to find

Convenient to DuSable Harbor

The location is perfectly situated to restaurants, public parks, and the lake. The staff are extremely professional!

Unlike the Intercontinental, the Fairnont charged for early check in. The room had some stains on the bathroom floor and they were very responsive. Turns out the stains were permanent and could not be removed. Then the toilet backed up and they were able to fix that quickly. There are also mandatory 'urban experience' charges that invite a slight discount on services provided by the hotel. Prepay for a discount you may or may not partake of. Location is super convenient though. Close to everything downtown. If flying, save yourself some stress- take the train.

Staff was awesome at this well located and renovated hotel. The Gold Lounge was a great feature and worth it for coffee, drinks, food, extra space with views. Staff in gold lounge terrific and kind. Good value at this fairmont.

I feel bad writing this review because the employees are fantastic but they have a rough product to work with, and these reviews aren't accurate. There is no way this place is an 8.6. -The property is in neglect and has a ton of deferred maintenance. The room was old, almost everything was broken (window shades, TV stand, shower door, bathroom door wouldn't shut, windows wouldn't close once opened). -Everything felt filthy upon check-in - scuffed and dirty walls and baseboards, carpet older than I am, toilet paper on the floor, dark hairs in the corners of the bathroom that were not mine -Weird smells (weed, rotten food/garbage) wafted in through the day and night. -Walls are super thin, good luck if you have someone next to you in an adjoining room. Shoutout to my neighbors blasting Phil Collins' drum solo from In the Air Tonight at 6 am while their dog barked maniacally. You WILL hear every word of your neighbors' conversations. -I personally don’t love this location, it’s quiet and in more of an office district. I prefer to be in River North or Mag Mile where there are more nearby restaurants and shopping.

Very nice rooms and location. Only issue was dirty vents in the room that were almost coming out of the wall. The bathroom had what looked like “male bodily fluid” on the wall. Also found a pair of men’s underwear in between the bed & wall.

Miss it already. Hope to be back again soon.

The facility was clean and the staff was very helpful.

I got relocated to another hotel. They overbooked and I was a victim of the overbooking!!!

Arrived at the hotel at 7 pm. Room was not ready. Was provided complimentary drink tickets to wait in the bar until ready. They also waived some local tourist fees. Location incredible. View amazing. Service good. Was unfortunate room was not ready.

Elizabeth at check in was amazing! Went out of her way to get our bridal dress shopping group of ladies adjoining rooms - which made our weekend extra special. Benjamin the doorman was so sweet & caring - very welcoming when we returned from our outings. Loved talking with him. He is a true peope person who makes you feel looked after.

After confusion at checkin (couldn't find my Expedia reservation for about 15 minuts "Due to computer issues").Mya not only stepped in t o fix but helped with change we had to make to accommodate a relatives illness. The Conscierg at Gold level got/delivered a quart of Hagandaz to our Granddaughter wnrn disapointed ni icecream!!
