The property seems run down. The sides of the pool were peeling off, the carpets looked dirty and there were stains on the sheets. Also the dinner at Logan's was way over priced for what it was.

Noisy. Hotel has ear plugs in the room because the train blows its horn all hours of the day and night. Nothing like being close to a train track.

Its an old hotel but very cozy. We understood this before we booked. The woman that checked us in was very friendly. The older woman that checked us out around 5am was very rude, didnt make eye contact or even speak when i handed her the key cards. There is a young women that works in the room cleaning department, she has several piercings. What a great employee she is! Very friendly went out of her way to help our family and was extremely hospitable. I would put her on the front desk and move the grouchy one to the back. Room was cozy but AC unit is overwhelmingly noisy. I would venture to say it is violating some sort of decimal limit for occupancy. It was ridiculous! The hotel caters to move of a snobby much older golf crowd. Not extremely family friendly. We picked it because of the history and close proximity to Glacier National Park. It checked both those boxes. Its overpriced for what it is, the clientele really put a drag on what could be a great experience for families. AC units need upgraded to something made in the past 10 yrs. Would not recommend this hotel to friends or family.

I accidently put in the wrong date for my reservation. It was a matter of 15 min that realized my mistake. When i called and tried to change it, I was told it didn't matter, I would be charged regardless. This was not only through the online booking, but the front desk as well.I will be contesting the charges.

Gorgeous property. Definitely dog friendly, she got a welcome package! The only reason it is a 4 star review and not 5 is that when I got there just after 3 (check in time), the front desk clerk informed me the room wasn’t ready and before I said anything he stated “technically we have until 4.” His attitude kind of stuck with me, and when 4 came and went I went back to the desk to ask if the room was ready (after watching many many people come and get their rooms no problem) and he said “oh I was about to text you.” The bar/restaurant had not been open and I had my pup with me and we had driven a long way that day…no way she was going to want to leave! So we were stuck trying to quietly play on the patio (which was too hot) and then in the lobby (which I felt weird doing since other people were also waiting there for their rooms). It isn’t the wait I mind, just the way it was handled really.

I liked the location The breakfast was served buffet style in a lovely dining room, but cost $20.00 per person. The waffles were cold and the eggs were like the kind you would get at a Hampton Inn or Best Western. Plain buffett not enough assortment to cost this much.

Property is nice and definitely has the Montana feel. Rooms are older and outdated. Bedding is like cardboard and bed is hard as a rock.

Absolutely disappointed in this place, I feel like we were bait and switched. After our check in our room was disgusting and not at all what we had been led to believe, the manager did try to move us but the next rooms were just as bad with a final answer of “they are going to be remodeling”. In fact there is no AC so you have to open the windows and thats when the plantation shutters covering the windows fell off almost hitting my wife, We had to stay the night anyway as it was late and there was nothing open. All the hallways become blocked by the maids and their cleaning carts and bins such a terrible set up for guests to have to navigate through. We checked out the next day and the manager said we would be refunded but as of now nothing has happened, This was a terrible start to our wedding anniversary trip! See pictures and you can tell its not at all what was advertised. I want a refund!

We loved it here again. We came before we had our son Teddy quite often to ski, but hadn’t been since 2021. It was even better than I remembered. Teddy came for his first time and he had the best time (he is 3 and loved the pool and hot tub and the cute little covered veranda on the second floor). The lobby, restaurant, and patio are really beautiful and feel very Montana. It was casual enough that they let me bring my buffet meal outside with my son. I have heard people say it’s dated, but I would stay here over and over just the way it is now - it’s extremely clean and the rooms are fantastic - the bathrooms seem like they’ve been renovated fairly recently which is nice. We had a loft suite which was perfect for couples with kids. The beds were so comfortable and the bedding was amazing - clean, white with lovely pillows. I loved the foldable chairs provided for breakfast for my son - he also used one as a stool to wash his hands after eating and going potty. 🙌 The staff is friendly, helpful, and truly lovely to deal with. They were great with my son being impatient on check in. They went above and beyond - two of them separately randomly helped him learn to “drive” his suitcase. I also loved how simple it was to grab one of the bikes they provided and head into town or ride down to whitefish state park. The bike was surprisingly comfortable and easy on some hills. I also used the gym a bit - I loved how bright it was. The fan and cooler were thoughtful touches.
