Hampton Inn Newark Airport

Good

Good hotel, a typical traditional airport hotel in the US. The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were very good, clean, and modern. The only thing, as is common in US hotels, is the carpet, which was extremely dirty. I don't understand why they don't replace it and install a different type of flooring.

Nice place but parking lot too small so it was hard to find a place to park

The room was very nice and clean. However, the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. There was no milk and the bananas were brown and mushy. The selection was poor. The coffee was good.

All was very good upon arrival but little food is available most of the day. Also, staff is limited in early morning to assist a handicapped person get moving to airport .

Surroundings and limited parking

There was a big issue during our stay. The hotel was unable to provide us keys to our room (...at all) and had to get an employee to let us in every time we returned. They said this was because they were in the middle of re-keying all of the rooms. The employees were very nice and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances, but it was still weird and inconvenient. When we returned from being out all day, we had to stand in a very long line to talk to the front desk and get someone to bring us upstairs. Parking was extremely limited, stressful to the point that I might avoid renting a car if I return. The airport shuttle was convenient, but when we used it was running late and in very high demand. Positives: it was very clean and it was affordable.

Checking in couldn’t find my prepaid reservation. No internet. Called three times about it and they gave me phone number that wasn’t working. Never did have internet

I loved the shuttle service. The breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and courteous. The property was very clean.

The stay was comfortable and convenient

The front desk and housekeeping staff are professional and kind. Rooms are nice havens away from the fray of the airport. Great breakfast.

The hotel shuttle to the airport was prompt, and the driver was great. The front desk staff were wonderful, both checking in and checking out. I was exhausted from a long day of traveling, and the bottled water they provided set check-in was such a kind gesture. The room was clean and had a nice welcome message on the TV. A quiet stay despite close proximity to the airport. Would definitely stay here again!

I did not stay for long, just a layover but the room had an animal urine smell that wasn't too bad and the shower door wouldn't stay closed which also wasn't a huge issue. The staff was very friendly and the place is remodeled nicely.

Convenient overnight so we can make it to the airport in the middle of the night. Dropped off our car down the street.

Stopover on arrival. Short wait for the efficient shuttle bus .Note there are 2 Hampton buses. Room was large and clean. Breakfast limited especially if allergies .
