Hampton Inn Newark Airport

The hotel was fine- decent breakfast and the room “seemed” clean with newer bedding. However- in the middle of the night my son, who was sleeping in the bed next to us, started yelling. He turned on his phone light, tore off the covers, and revealed a HUGE roach crawling around under the covers with him. In the morning I told the front desk about it and it was clear they couldn’t have cared less. It was “oh, a roach? (Yawn) ya, ok, I’ll tell housekeeping.” Later I noticed my husband was at the desk also complaining. This woman was standing next to the woman I had told. She seemed to take my husband more seriously and took his contact info saying a manager would reach out. No surprise -we never heard from a manager. Hopefully they will improve their bug management systems, but based on their seeming lack of concern, I doubt the message will even be forwarded to whomever is in charge of that.

The body gel dispenser was not working. It was fixed but I think they need to incoporate this item to be checked before delivering the room to a new customer.

They didn’t have a rooms available but over all there service was on point it is Hotel. Com who’s service need help you guys didn’t accommodate nor give me a refund and every time I speak or txt someone they tell me they can’t do anything

I was able to get an early check-in, and the employee at the desk during check-in was very kind and helpful.

Area does not feel safe.

The carpet in my room was filthy with stains. I booked a king room and then was told there were none.

Shower did not work only bath. Staff at front desk were apathetic didn't seem to care at al about guests concerns regarding cockroach found at drink station nor inoperable shower.

This was an emergency stay after a flight had been canceled. Staff was very helpful, extremely pleasant. Rooms were way nicer than I expected given the price point and location. Would recommend to anyone looking for a clean, modern hotel at a good price, close to EWR.

Very good hotel

The staff and the hotel are quite good, quite, clean rooms and bathroom has a very nice shower. The shuttle van is very small, drivers are very friendly and try to help, but they need a bigger transportation for sure. Location to go out without a car does not help since there isn't anything in the nearby to get for dinner. Breakfast was good.
