Harbor Inn Self Check-in Hotel

Hard stairs only to 2nd floor.

Very nice, comfortable stay with a lovely view of Lake Superior and walking distance to everything in Grand Marais. The self check-in directions were very straightforward as was checkout. It was really nice to have someone send me a text message thanking me for my stay and reminding me of the checkout time and directions. Will absolutely be back!

Room clean and comfortable and easy access. The property could use some upkeep. A bit dirty I. Hallways and stairs.

The property looked run down, we stayed somewhere else.

Great location and nice view of the lake from the room. Easy contacless check-in. However, our room smelled very musty. There was a loud dehumidifier running in our room the entire time, which was necessary fue to the high humidity in the room. The kids found empty Fireball bottles under their bed.

The hotel was right next to the lake and you could walk to many local businesses. The beds were comfortable and the bedding/towels were clean. Only small details like broken trim and dust are my only complaint. I'd stay again.

It was a clean room with comfortable beds. Harbor view is the perfect name. Right across from the harbor. It was beautiful

Older and smaller rooms but very clean with some renovation. I didn’t like the self check in. It was my first time doing that, I had trouble getting the key so I had to call. She was very helpful. Then I couldn’t get the lockbox closed.

Excellent location.

Room was nicely updated, and very clean! The bed and bedding was very comfortable! Flush button on toilet was broke. A couple tiles on the wall had fallen off. We were not told our room was the only one with entry at the back of the hotel and there was no outdoor lighting there.

We checked in early as the door was wide open and the lights were on. A young man came within a few minutes. He did not speak much English or was not using his words. He had on a back pack. We thought he was someone trying to use our room. I reported him to the management via text. I was informed he was part of the team and was there to restock and vacuum. We said we were good. He did not have a vacuum with him. We put a chair under the door handle that night. Lol

It was a place to sleep, but outside run down. Spider webs in corners by bathroom. Dirty old heat registers, room smelly. Room was clean otherwise. Handy to downtown. Not crazy about the self check in and out.

Our room was cute and newly renovated, the location was perfect! Dining and shopping options were available within a short walk from our room! We had a little trouble getting into our room initially, but figured it out. Not all restaurants/cafes are open at the same time. Loved the Raven's Nest one block away. Would stay here again!
