Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Mission Valley Stadium

Lovely little Hilton Garden Inn! Staff was so friendly and helpful. I had an issue with booking and they helped us out with no problem at all. It's also a smaller Hilton, so everything was cozier and felt more personal. The beds were comfy, bathroom clean, and the AC was great!

Enjoyed our stay at the property. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was adequately cleaned and I do not have any complaints about the property.

Pool was great for our kids.

I don’t know where to start… it appeared ok enough at first. But as we got settled in I found mold in the shower, the bedding was stained, there was some gooey substance on the carpets. We received attitude from staff when asking for towels and pillows. Not many options for food. The beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. We booked for 2 nights and actually considered trying to find a different hotel the second night, or heading home sooner.

Staff member at check in was amazing. Very courteous, engaging, informative, and friendly. He should be rewarded in some fashion. Truly amazing experience, even at our late check in time of 10:15pm!

Room was ok for the price however had a musty smell and shower was dirty when we arrived. When we called for extra towels it took almost an hour to receive them. Glad we didn’t spend much time in the room.

Room was not what we reserved and was dirty. Bedding was wrinkled like they pulled from the dirty laundry pile. Pillows were old and worn out. Room smelled of mildew/mold causing horrible allergy attack. Two towels for 3 people causing my daughter and I to have to share. Called front desk regarding everything and BERNARD was rude , condescending, insulting and even laughed at me as I tried to explain all of the issues and asked for a resolution. His answer was, “‘then leave but you’re not getting a refund at all”. We had only been in the room for 5 minutes when I called downstairs to let them know the room was not a handicap accessible room like I had reserved, and that we were going to be unable to even take a shower because we requested an accessible shower. Instead, he laughed at us and said “oh well then I guess you should find another hotel”. it was absolutely atrocious the way we were treated, the room was disgusting, the bedsheets had a big yellow stain on it, I had to go to Walmart to buy blankets and pillows to put over it so we could sleep on it… I had to put a ton of Lysol in the air so we could breathe and we had to wipe everything down with Clorox wipes because it was filthy.We had no other choice because all the hotels were pretty booked if not sold out due to multiple competitions at SDSU. We stayed here in November and it was nice, this time they put us on the third floor. It was a trash pit. The parking garage toms of debris like old a/c’s & vacuums.

Property was very nice, nestled in a corner next to a strip mall. Nearby gas stations, jack in the box next door, freeway entrance and down the street were other fast food like Mc Donalds, rubios. There is a Vons for groceries and a Walmart and if you're really on a budget a dollar tree. The 4 stars overall is because they charge $16 parking for each day that wasn't disclosed on Expedia. Parking is not gated so don't understand the charge. Forgot to mention free coffee and water, there a quaint bar and the cafe is reasonable with a $20 breakfast buffet. Overall all i would stay again, staff was professional, rooms were clean, tv 50 inch, beds were comfy.
