Friendly staff and clean rooms. Will book again!

I travel approximately three times a month and we stay in Hilton‘s. With that being said, this was the worst bed I have ever slept in all of my travels. The mattress was thin, worn out and offered no support or softness and every time you would move in the bed the whole frame would shake and make a lot of noise. During my three day stay the TV did not work even though I spoke to the front desk three times a day asking them to fix the TV. This hotel also charges $10 per day per person in addition to other resort fees, etc. for a wristband so that you can walk in and out of their property. I will not be staying at this hotel again and would never recommend it to friends, family, or colleagues.

We love this hotel! It's super clean, the pool is awesome and we love the beach access. There is a restaurant/bar onsite and a starbucks. Friendly front desk and cleaning staff.

The bar tender es muy grosero

The rooms are average along with the property. The buffet breakfast is good. We go to South Padre Island all the time and this was the first time I encountered oil tar blobs all over the beach and floating in the water. It was like trying to navigate a minefield. The tar balls stick to your feet and are exceedingly difficult to clean off. As long as this condition persists I would not recommend spending any time there at South Padre Island.

We had a wonderful stay, the beach is easily accessible and the swimming pool is great as well. It’s a little far from most of the restaurant but it didn’t bother us. It’s not very far from the hotel anyway, everything is very close in distance. The room was awesome ( king size partial view) only thing is the mattress and pillows should be updated but that’s not a deal breaker.

I paid over $430 for one night expecting a relaxing stay at the Hilton Garden Inn South Padre Island Beachfront, but the experience was incredibly disappointing from the start. I arrived late in the evening, only to find that my room wasn’t even ready which is completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially one at this price point. The only room available had wet carpet, a foul odor, and large fans running to dry it out. Even housekeeping was confused as to why we were assigned that room. To make matters worse, the air conditioning in the room wasn’t working properly, making the already uncomfortable situation even more unbearable. I spoke with Josh at the front desk and Cynthia, the manager, and all they offered was to add points to my account as if that makes up for a night spent in subpar, borderline uninhabitable conditions. There were no other rooms available, and clearly no real effort to provide a meaningful resolution. For the amount of money we spent, this was a terrible customer service experience. I would not recommend staying here, and this stay has made me seriously reconsider ever booking with Hilton again

Great weather

We stayed here with the kids, and everyone absolutely loved the property! It was safe, convenient and walking distance to the beach. Would highly recommend and we look forward to coming back for another visit.

The mattress was terrific, however the sink in bathroom backed up, & our tv batteries were low, however the room itself was great!

Rooms were not ready and had to check in an hr after original check in time. The room that was given to us was terrible bathroom essentials where not restocked/filled, slow water pressure from the shower, toilet was running/leaking, Iron was not working properly. Better job could have been done with keeping up with hotel maintenance and the property itself. When it rains water goes into the gym area and gift shop store i wouldn't doubt more areas in the hotel have leaks throughout.

Having to wear a wrist band after paying that much a night is ridiculous and having to pay extra for grandkids to swim was ridiculous. Breakfast was mediocre. Beds were uncomfortable.

I like the staff, they were really nice and answered questions. What I didn’t like was that I paid for a room with snacks and drinks. On the image it shows different snacks, having kids I paid extra for this. At check in once we got to the room there were no snacks and drinks. I called the front I was told they would call me back after they checked in a guest. I went down the next day and asked. The guy at the front said I could grab 2 sodas and 2 waters and 2 snacks from their store by registration. I mentioned I didn’t get any in the room at check in. He said come back tomorrow at check out. Since they are to be replenish daily I spent 2 nights. At check out on 5/21/2025 I was told no, that the snacks are only one time. He confirmed it with another guy working with him. My understanding per website was different kind of snacks in the room to replenish daily would be at least twice. I actually paid extra just for the convenience of it and I was not given that. So either they lied, or it’s false advertisement and don’t give you what you pay for. Making it Not worth it. And if that’s how it is they should be ashamed of even offering that service , getting paid and not providing it.

We enjoyed our stay. The boardwalk was great as was the beach
