The location was great, view of the bay was beautiful but the room/building has a horrible mildew smell and the condition would click on and off but the room got very very hot before clicking back on. Valet attendant asked my husband if he was recently there with another woman not a funny joke. Could really be an issue for couples not knowing what doing on in the marriage at that time. Probably not the best joke.

We were very pleased with our first stay at the property. Everything was seamless from check in to check out not to mention the perfect central location to everything in the historic district making most everything walkable. We will definitely be back!

Overall things were great! Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and courteous. Our room was spacious and comfortable. As were on the first floor we could hear street noise at night, but it quickly faded after 9:00 or 10:00 pm.
There were some minor maintenance issues, painting was going on at many places in the common areas with tools and ladders, etc., spread around in some areas. In our room the sink drain was very slow and water pressure was low, with no hot water available from the sink spigot to speak of. Temperatures and pressures in the shower were adequate but not great.

The location of the property is what makes this hotel good. The staff were all excellent and meet all our requests with aplomb. The room was slightly worn but very serviceable. If returning to St Augustine we would stay here again.
