Holiday Inn & Suites CHARLESTON WEST, an IHG Hotel

When I went into the hotel they had birds there and after we checked in I had to turn in this asthma attack and I checked out with him like 20 minutes of checking in and they wouldn't give me a refund.

The hotel and room were clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly. We did not have a good night sleep because our room was directly beside the elevators on the 6th floor and the elevator was loud and constant all night long. We arrived back at the hotel after midnight and thought that it would stop throughout the night because lack of people using it so we didn’t ask to be moved. However, that was up not being the case. We were very disappointed.

FIX THAT SIDE DOOR! I will never stay here in the winter again. The whole first floor was totally miserable the first couple days. It’s was in the teens outside and felt like 35 degrees in the hallway. Then our heater didnt work, great service moved us to the second floor and this Floridan finally got warm. The heater was the best part of that room. Now, why is there only 2 TOWELS and 2 WASH CLOTHS? Saving money? I think not, just makes it harder on the clientele! 2 towels is crappy business. Best Western and Comfort Inn still provide 4 towels. This is my favorite place to stay. The breakfast looks incredible, but replace the side door situation. Imagine the automatic door opening and a FORCE of 19 degree air coming at you as you try to get out the door. Looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen when a small child gets hurt. The staff is incredible here. You’d get more business if you put a menu in the room. Found this great menu on the last day after dinner elsewhere. It’s an older hotel, it still my favorite as far a location and convenience.

My over all was nice. The food from the restaurant was not so good. But I would stay again

Very nice lobby and pool area, plenty of parking, room is a little outdated but clean and beds were comfortable. They provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash in showers (Dove brand) Breakfast is an additional cost- they have a restaurant and bar.

enjoyed having the bar and restaurant there. we got a room next to the elevator shaft and the noise kept us awake most of the night.

Didn’t like the MOUSE in our room eating his way through our snack tote. Didn’t care for the dead cockroach in the suite they moved us to after the mouse house!!

The hotel is in a convenient location, has a restaurant, is within walking distance to a couple of other restaurants, including a great Mexican place. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom in good shape. It was quiet, even with the train tracks and freeway nearby. I am staying again on my return trip.

Friendly staff!

The beds are REALLY high. Hard to get into for short people and older people. And the toilet paper was behind my left arm and hard to reach. The people were SUPER, especially Ashley in the breakfast area.

I love the room, was clean an nice. Only issue I had was guests next door to us was very loud at 1 am, a people in people was being a like nasty a vulgar in front of the children. Breakfast was fabulous, staff was warm an welcome very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!

Disappointed! My room was right next to the elevator and the noise was too loud to get any sleep! Also, no hot water in the shower the next morning. Lastly, my car was blocked in by a delivery truck when I attempted to leave the next morning. We had to wait 45 minutes until the truck completed its delivery to exit the parking lot.

Property is well cared for.

Our room was awful. The carpets were stained all over and even had blood stains on the carpet near the bathroom. We had no bath towels. When we reported these things to th front desk, we were told they couldn't do anything for us. I would advise everyone to stay clear of this place; it was already more expensive than the other places we stayed on our vacation, it was nasty and the staff wasnot helpful.

My family enjoyed our stay! The rooms and common areas were clean, and the front desk had excellent customer service. I would definitely stay again!

Great hotel for our cross country move. Clean and comfortable rooms. Parking was a challenge with our Uhaul truck and trailer. We had to park on the street

The hotel was lovely. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable with great pillows and bedding. Lounge and grounds are clean and tidy. The staff were all amazing! Complimentary coffee would have been nice. Highly recommend. Pet fees were very affordable too!
