Holiday Inn AMARILLO WEST MEDICAL CENTER by IHG, an IHG Hotel

We stay one night and the room was clean and nice.

Everyone was very helpful

The General Manager, a white female by the name of Carter was Highly unprofessional, her customer service is horrible, she has No Business in this type of work. If I were her Supervisor I would have Fired Her on the Spot. I had booked two days through Expedia but only one showed as being booked. The staff called and threatened to remove my personal property and place it by the front desk. When I called to figure out what had gone wrong, the General Manager named Carter answered, I then asked her some questions about what had gone wrong. This seemed to upset her and the calmer I was, the louder she got, and she became very aggressive, obnoxious and rude. Carter then yelled out, thus saying " I'm just going to check you out!" and she hung up on me. I never raised my voice at Carter, I did not use any inappropriate language, I remained professional and calm. I am a retired Texas State Trooper and was in Amarillo Tx to conduct some training for a Christian based organization. This General Manager's behavior was Highly Unacceptable for a customer-based business, and she should be FIRED! I never want to stay at this Holiday Inn Express ever again, which is: Holiday Inn West Medical Center. 8231 Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo Tx 79124. I will filing a complaint with either Corporate or the owner(s) of this Hotel.

Overnight stay on road trip.

Hotel is beat up.

Was expecting a outdoor area around pool.

This was a hotel that was booked for us because they over booked our original hotel. The location was perfect and it was on scale with the Towneplace that we had originally booked. Very spacious room and luxurious amenities.

We arrived shortly after 5:00 PM and were disappointed to find that our rooms were not ready. We had to wait approximately 30 minutes before we could check in. During this time, the front desk attendant appeared disorganized and uncertain in handling check-in procedures, which added to the delay and frustration. I think this will be our last time stay at this property.

Check in for this trip wasn’t as friendly or expedient as usual. Lady at the front desk was rude. Room overall was clean and comfortable

Although the bar wasn't open, we were able to visit in the bar area. The staff was nice and pleasant. The bed was nice and comfy.

Clean property. Shower faucet didn’t work properly. Needs new faucets.

Nice place. Comfortable and quiet.

Hot tub closed was told they added chemicals this was at 2 in the afternoon. Was told to come back in an hour i did and front desk said maintance man was not there to open. This was so frustrating. The morning breakfast was out of a lot of supplies. In all very disappointed!

We have stayed here for years, but this time the property delt out of date and run down. Needs upgrades. Was missing paintings in the room. Tv struggled to wprk.

Clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and polite

This was our 4th visit here. We have chosen this hotel for our Iowa to Arizona trip and of course, back to Iowa. Nice people always and we really appreciate the restaurant after a LONG drive!

Front desk staff were unfriendly and I had requested for my room to be cleaned since I was staying multiple nights and was not cleaned when I came back from appointments. Then catching housekeeping in the hallway asking if my room could be cleaned, which they were happy to start, mistakenly took my wife’s garment next to the dirty towels and the television remote from our room. Housekeeping was kind and helpful but communication from front desk staff was poor and rude. I will never stay here again.

Needed a place to stay for the night and they did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was clean. We all had a great night and good breakfast in the morning.
