Holiday Inn Express & Suites OROVILLE LAKE by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Hello, I got two rooms, 331 and 330 for one night, I stayed at 330 the room had a smell like mold Maybe the AC filter, the but drain was clogged and during my shower was filling up not very inconvenient, also the vanity sink was clogged, we moved the long chair and was not clean under the chair.

There was an unsavory character outside my room two of the four nights I stayed, talking loudly on the phone and keeping me up. The rooms were clean, but the hallways were not vacuumed and had bits of trash beside the hallway walls. The towels were clean but were very rough to the skin; please add some fabric softener to these towels and sheets.

The bathroom

I only stayed for a night, and checked in pretty late. I forgot my water bottle at the front desk, and he brought it straight to my room about 30 minutes later! The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable! It was a little loud outside, but that's really no fault of the hotel.

This place was easy to find off the highway. It’s beautiful and very modernized. Sara, the front desk, is very nice and friendly. Give her a raise! The room was cute and clean. The breakfast was delicious and there was variety of food to choose

Michaela was very friendly and accommodating to my handicapped needs. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting or passing through the Oroville area. Thank you.

Hotel was under construction. Had 5 people staying in the room but would only get 3 towels. Had to go get more towels each day even though we filled out the housekeeping form requesting 5. Beds were full size beds and not queen as advertised.

I had a 4 Hour Dr. to Oraville and I get a call from the hotel. They’re telling me there’s not gonna be any power from 11 PM to 7 AM. They called and told me this with only two hours left in my trip. I’m on the top floor which means it’s a little warmer and I had no air conditioning. No hot water to get up before 7 AM. Since Orville doesn’t have what I would call a huge example of nice hotels I asked if I could get at least a discount and they told me no. My sleep was horrible with PG&E working outside the building with machinery. . When I checked out, I asked again for a possible discount on my room and they said no. This appeared like a scheduled event, so why was I just told two hours before my arrival? Terrible in every way.

Location was nice right off of hwy 70. The hotel is under remodel construction and considering this was really overall clean & contained. Our room was remodeled. No carpet, waterproof wood flooring which is really nice. The beds, oh boy, the beds I'm pretty sure are new BUT they are low quality hard and springs were noisy bc of our weight, I think. It was supposed to be 2 queens but they were more like 2 doubles, which didn't really work well for us. My son & husband are 6'9 & 6'7 and my dtr 5'10 & me 5'8 let's just say we didn't sleep well. If you're a single sleeper or tiny the bed will be perfect. On the up side, Bfast was really good. Pancakes and cheese omelette 1 day and scrambled eggs on the other with meat sides, cereal & already made oatmeal. Staff are super friendly! Parking seems sketchy in the back but we had no issues. Sonic is literally in the front parking lot & was outside our window. Starbucks is walking distance too not worth driving to bc it's that close. Up the road was a wonderful Mexican restaurant I recommend as well.

It was an awesome big room

This is a great place. It’s just undergoing some renovation so it’s not all tidy yet. No biggie. Room is big and comfortable!

Property nice and clean staff are very friendly only con bathroom had a mold spot on the roof over the bathtub bathroom door cant stay open and bed was ruff on my back otherwise great place to stay

There was no carpeting in the hallway on our floor. That should be worth a courtesy discount

The pool and hot tub were great. Love the pool area
