Holiday Inn Express ALLENTOWN NORTH by IHG, an IHG Hotel

This IHG location was not what I expected, the service and atmosphere is usually much more different. The check in process was easy and friendly but the majority of the time I was around there was no one in the front desk. The hallways smelled like dirty mop water, there was only one super small elevator on site, the one-way parking was confusing, and people were usually driving the wrong way. During one of the nights I noticed the trash was taken out but my bed wasn't made which was surprising. My bathtub was also dirty when I checked in so i just showered in my sandals. One of the things I look forward to is the breakfast. The first morning was fine, but I was surprised to see employees sitting in the lobby helping themselves with breakfast. There was also a lot of bickering within the employees. There was a confrontation between one of the ladies in the kitchen and the front desk lady about the clocking in process. Stating she should not be in the back punching in that someone should be doing that when she checks in. then she was stating that she always used (she referenced 2 individuals) codes to clock in. On the second day for breakfast the area was opened late because the same kitchen lady from the day before came in late. An individual who I believe was the manager confronted her about it and then stayed sitting in the lobby observing. The breakfast on this morning was not good and the bacon served was practically raw. Overall it was not a good expierence.

I made a quick reservation and once I checked in my room was ready. The room was clean. Breakfast had a nice spread and plenty of parking. The room didn't smell. I slept all night.

Clean and quiet stay. Coffee in lobby was a plus.

The housekeeping staff was very friendly and professional. Hotel was clean. The female receptionist that works at night was not so friendly…

Everyone I encountered seemed very friendly. The breakfast buffet was quite nice. The only personal minus is that the rooms are a little tight on space. Other than that, a very good stay.

Easy check in. Easy parking. Soneone was pranking guests on the 4th floor. Running and banking on doors. Please review cameras. It was scary

Clean room, kind staff especially at the front and the breakfast area. yummy options for complimentary breakfast, and easy to navigate to.

I’m giving this one star not because of an actual stay, but because of why I couldn’t stay. I was driving over four hours with a 7-week-old and chose this hotel specifically because, when I called before booking, they assured me cribs were available. Two hours into our drive, I called again to have one placed in our room before our after-midnight arrival, only to be told they would try to find the one crib they had. A short while later, I was told it was unavailable. This left me scrambling, exhausted, to book another hotel for the same night — at my own expense — and I was denied a refund. Hotels.com informed me the decision was up to the hotel, and they still chose not to refund me. For a property with such glowing reviews about being family-friendly, this was an incredibly disappointing and stressful experience.

Too many worker trucks which take up too many parking spaces.

Never went, i booked the wrong date and they never bought to gave me a new date or refund. I booked in another one. Not bother to book here again.

Everything about this hotel was great. From the comfortable room and temperature to the key card working right the first time. Staff was so pleasant. Breakfast was hot and good and I must say it’s probably the best cup of hotel coffee I’ve ever had. Somebody is doing something right at this location. Highly recommend.

Easy to check in and location.

Staff checked me in she was wonderful. It was late she offered to place an order for dinner at a local restaurant. She gave me a list of local restaurants. The fact she offered to call meant a lot to me.

Great hotel for our road trip. We slept well and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

Quick access off of RT 22 and facility in great shape

Its a great place for short stay. Staffs were really friendly, rooms were clean daily. We had two Queens size bed and it didn't have enough space to walk around. Breakfast timing were from 6:30-9:30 on weekdays (i think it should be up to 10:30). We stayed for 3 nights and same breakfast everyday. But overall i would recommend to stay

Couldn't get much sleep as there were various kids running on hallways and running on the bedrooms above us.
