Holiday Inn ROCK ISLAND - QUAD CITIES by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Everything went smoothly. From check in to check out.

Spur of the moment choice because it worked out timing wise along my travel route. I liked the pictures, amenities, and the price so I took a chance and got lucky. Everything was fabulous. Staff was exceptionally nice everywhere from the front desk to the restaurant to the bar to the worker I shared the elevator ride with. Plenty of parking for a downtown location.

Great stay

Only issue is the hotel bar. I think the holiday inn could do better than sutter home. Was almost empty in a Saturday night. Service was very nice though.

Very clean, check-in & out was easy. Breakfast was very good and affordable. Quiet neighborhood and easy to get to.

Clean and affordable

I had a reservation for two queens and was switched to a King. So I had to sleep on a cot. They called it an "upgrade." I explained that being forced to sleep on a cot is in fact not an upgrade.

It was near the river and dam.

Location was great. Cute little downtown

We had a problem first night. My daughter and I were staying there with my 12 yr old grandson for baseball all weekend. We got woken up at 3:38 am with someone unlocking our room. Thankfully we had security lock secured so he could not get in all of the way. My grandson & all of us were very scared and kept us up rest of night. This was totally unacceptable and could of been a very bad situation if we had not had the deadbolt locked. We feel like our stay should be compensated for. My grandson did not even want to stay the second night fearing that someone would try to get in our room again. This was a big mistake from the FD. This was not the man checking in. He probably lost his key and told the FD the wrong room number. His ID should have been checked and not just given the room number key that he thought he was in. He was drunk but kind when my daughter continued to tell him that he was in the wrong room. This could of been a very bad situation and could of ended very badly.

The property needs some upgrades, but ok for the price I guess. The rooms could have been a little cleaner. Doors slam shut causing a loud noise.

We were looking for a more affordable hotel option while visiting Davenport for a dance competition. We were happy with our stay & even happier at the price! Will choose again when/if we return to the Quad Cities.

When I checked in for a room with 1 king size bed I arrived to my room and the bed was unmade and there was a large amount of garbage. Clearly hasn’t been touched by house keeping. So I had to go back down to the lobby and had to have a room with 2 queen size beds because they didn’t have anymore king size available. Parking is also pretty terrible.

It was nice but did not have bathrobes initially. I had to ask for them. I had to call several times to get slippers and was told it was on the way a couple times. Area around is hard to get by without a car or uber.

The staff was excellent. Room was fine. No Kleenex. It was clean, but bathroom showed its age around shower and flooring.

I enjoyed my stay here. The walk across the river to Woodmen ballpark was easy and fun and Steves old time bar across the street was a fun time. My issue is that the hotel ended up charging me 3 different times for my room even after i had booked through Hotels.com. The situation eventually got worked out but this was not a great situation and made me question the integrity of the hotel. Make sure to check your bank account after you stay here.
