Everything was dirty

My recent stay at this hotel with my family was extremely disappointing and upsetting. We arrived around 1 a.m. after a long trip, delayed due to health concerns. Upon check-in, we were given a room that was not cleaned. To our shock, we found stained women’s underwear with personal fluids left on the sofa—an area where my son was supposed to sleep. We immediately requested assistance, and it took approximately 45 minutes before a resolution was provided. Unfortunately, the second room we were given was also in unacceptable condition. It had a strong odor of urine near the bathroom, making it feel just as unclean and uncomfortable. By this time, it was well past 2 a.m., and we had no other immediate options for booking another hotel. This was incredibly frustrating, especially because we have stayed at this location multiple times over the past three years while visiting our college student in Pittsburgh. It had always been our top choice due to its reliability—until now. The staff member assisting us during check-in appeared completely unprepared to handle the situation and offered no words of comfort or solution beyond a room change. We were left feeling unheard, disrespected, and very disappointed. I sincerely hope management addresses the serious lapse in cleanliness and service. This experience has made us reconsider returning to what was once a trusted and comfortable hotel for our family trips.

Bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, water pressure was very poor.

Wasn’t given the room I paid for I was told it was an upgrade but no big walk in shower and no king size bed either. But for the price we paid $377.00 for one night and then had to pay to park out car $26.00 over night in their parking lot, you would think it would be spotless!! The carpets were very dirty lots of stains. Also stains on couch and chair. Although very convenient to walking downtown I will not waste my money here next visit !

Had a great spur-of-the-moment weekend trip. The hotel staff was friendly & courteous throughout our stay. The room was comfortable & spacious, offered very nice views of the city. And to walk to the Heinz History Center & the Pirates' game. Many other options for food & entertainment within walking distance but didn't have time to get to many others.

Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok but location was amazing downtown.

I had a very nice time at this Homewood Suites. First, can't beat the location, within walking distance to the Strip District which has restaurants, shops and Primanti Bros! Safe area & clean room. Front desk staff is very nice and helpful. Parking is $19/day fee (w/ taxes $26 bummer but probably cuz it's downtown). Complimentary hot breakfast has very nice choices. Wednesday evening social items were ok, been to better ones at other Homewoods. But totally recommend this hotel!

The staff is amazing! We won’t even consider staying anywhere else in Pittsburgh.

The price was very fair, considering the other hotels in the area. We walked to a local bar/restaurant for dinner which was very good. It is pretty quiet on that side of town on a Wednesday but it felt very safe. Would definitely stay here again.

For people who want to visit CMU, this property’s location is not near to the school.

We stay here whenever we are in town to visit our son at Duquesne University. We are always greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. This trip in particular we were greeted by name... "GOOD AFTERNOON, RICHARDSON FAMILY!"

Good Premium Room Just A Lot Of Noise From The Fire Department & Plus They Construction Happening On The Side of The Building Due to A Water Break Where They Laid A Steel Sheet To Cover Hole That You Can Literally Hear Clank sounds everytime the fire department fire truck would over it or regular traffic all thru the night and we were on the 7th floor. Breakfast was okay found a few hairs in the eggs but is okay. $50 dollars for 2 night stay parking. You pay at desk when checking in. Scenic Views Of The City, Room was clean and tidy just dishes were dirty in dish washer the front desk helped out by giving us tablets soap for dishwasher. Other than that nice hotel and nice clean rooms. Walking Distance David L. Lawrence Convention Center (10 Min) Walk .
