Hotel Americana

Our room was beautiful and very clean. The linens on the bed were nice. The shower was wonderful with plenty of pressure. The bed was a little bit hard for my liking but other than that it was perfect accommodations.

The rooms were very spacious, as was the lobby. New carpeting and furniture throughout. On top of that, excellent free breakfast in the morning!

Unfortunately only one night here. What a unique find, from the moment we arrived. A large, bright, art-filled, colorful, non-chain motel with plenty of parking, north end of the heart (they told me) of downtown Old Nogales, AZ. Ask about drinking water; they do offer that. Staff was super helpful when we thought our up-on-the-wall heater would not turn on, offering to come up and look at it. [FYI: "sometimes they need a minute to warm up and turn on"-- ours took well over 15 minutes... but DID turn on, for that rare cold night!] Room was large, and the bed and linens were comfortable. BREAKFAST: A reason to stay here longer! Delightfully different set-up and food offerings, of Mexican and North American foods, and fresh homemade pancakes coming right off the griddle right out of the hidden kitchen every few minutes. There are waffle machines, too, and more. And other than most tables being unusually short for us (a couple were "just right"), it was all in a lovely setting and delightful. Do drive the few blocks around the Old Town and see the old city center before heading back north whether heading to the NW or the NE. This whole place made returning here a very intriguing idea to us!
