This was a very convenient place to stay while visiting Portsmouth. There was some traffic noise, which is to be expected in a city, but not enough to be annoying or interrupt sleeping. The hotel was clean and well kept, the staff were all friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Everything was very good. Clean, quiet, and neat. Free continental breakfast was good. Not a ton of options but enough to get to lunch and they were very attentive to restocking items and cleaning up at breakfast time. Not all places offer a free breakfast so it was a nice offering. Would def stay again if in the area.

Stay was disappointing beginning with a call before arriving to say the hotel was overbooked and my King bed reservation had been downgraded to a queen bed with no monetary credit. I was offered 1000 Wyndham points for my reservation and then the desk clerk said I couldn’t have them because I booked through hotels.com. Also our keys didn’t work and had to return to the main desk for fix.

Carpet was stained, lied about oceanview room on first floor, its only part of second floor. Calls made to ask for help, was dismissed that they couldn't help. Very difficult to contact customer service. Links didnt work ever.

The outside of the hotel looked good and cared for. The inside looked more “tired” and some furnishings needed replacement or refurbishing. My mattress had a divot from too many people using it and it not being replaced often enough.

The front desk associate could not have been more disengaged. He was eating when we arrived. Never apologized or acknowledged is, just kept staring at his computer screen.
When he did look up there was no personality. He mumbled facts like he had memorized from a script. The room was clean and spacious. Highway noise was a little loud.

We booked a king room. Just drove 6.5 hours here to be told there is a “ slight inconvenience” and the king size reservation that I made was overbooked, and there were no king-size rooms left. I was offered a queen, with no apology. I inquired on a discount or any kind of compensation, and was told he would leave my name with the manager. Checked into the room, and it is not only a queen room, but also a handicap room.

Once you stay in HoJo, you know what to expect next: old and outdated furniture, an old TV, and mismatched remotes. This particular one has four tables in the breakfast area, and even a continental breakfast is super limited.
