Independent (SPHC) BLUFFTON INN & SUITES, an IHG Hotel

This property is undergoing a huge renovation. Much of it is complete, including the rooms, which are very clean and comfortable. The lobby and pool are still under renovation, which means the check-in is located in a meeting room with folding tables and computers/cords exposed. Breakfast area is complete and food is typical hotel breakfast.

Nice, renovating, not crowded

Property is under renovation but it did not hamper my stay. Room was newly renovated.

Property is in the middle of a nice remodel. Staff great and breakfast was better than expected. Only issue was bathroom fan was way too loud.I will stay in this property again.

This property was under renovation construction, but my rating is not related to the construction mess. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and bed very very comfortable. My concerns are due to the fact that both my room door and bathroom door would not swing open/closed. They had to be forced, Almost as if they overlaid a new floor in the renovation and it did not leave enough clearance. Also, upon check-in I was told that breakfast started at 6am. When I came down the next morning, I was told they would not be serving the hot breakfast.

Finishing renovations so the place was a bit muddled in the breakfast room. I stayed in a newly renovated room and it was very nice. I especially appreciated the light blocking shades that don’t leak in outside light from the parking lot. I have stayed at this hotel several dozen times and the one thing I wish they would change is to reduce the absolutely unnecessary light pollution that the parking lot produces. It would be more than adequately lighted with a 50% reduction. Presently, the lights in use remind me of those surrounding a jail. Reducing the brightness would cost less to maintain and would be more pleasant for the guests without any compromise in safety/ security.

Was not notified of being under construction! Nice to make it better but should be made aware of prior. Lights shined bright into hotel window from construction lights. Breakfast was very poor tasting. Guy that was working was a bit rude and acted like we were an inconvenience for just for asking if had water.

Work was being done on the property at the time but other than that it was a great stay

The property is still under renovation. The room door would not lock properly. And still disappointed there is not a whirlpool/hot tub. Check in was not the best, but am told that Expedia was the issue on this. Disappointed in that....

I didn't understand that the property was no longer owned by the previous company but I was very happy with my stay! The construction was no problem for me.

I don’t know why Expedia offer hotel rooms for property that are under construction.,, My room was Scuzzy looking cheap…., No TUB in the bathroom!!! The properly was nosey .., I had to keep my curtains closed due to a construction using a machine outside my window… felI paid a $160. 00 for the room and I felt I didn’t have an option to leave. I believe Expedia should give a heads up on re Renovating properties at least you can take it in consideration at the time of booking.

the hotel is under renovation - -not a disruption, but kind of cluttered, slightly loud, etc. they removed the hot tub/whirlpool which was a big disappointment. room temp control was not responsive/able to get to a right temp. work-out room is small and skimpy. breakfast was good, and staff was pleasant.

Although still under construction it’s been kept neat but could add kosher meals to the menu.

This Hotel is under renovation. We had trouble getting out of our locked room. The fan in the bathroom was Loud. The Hotel smelled of microwaved fish. Check-in went smoothly but there was not staff available at check-out. We rang the bell several times.

This hotel is being renovated and switched over to HI Express. Right now, it’s not in good shape!

It was under renovation & we didn't know that. Should have been noted. The room was fine. Temp was hard to control. No soap in bathroom & toilet was extremely low. Brkfast was fine, but limited. Pool area had construction materials stored in it, so didn't use. Kind of disappointing....

The whole place was under construction. It didn’t even look open. The pool was chained closed. The “fitness room” would not have fit 2 people in it at once and was filthy. The breakfast was mostly pre-prepared food that had handwritten labels saying “use by” and dates were nearly all 1-3 days EXPIRED. There was water actively leaking from the ceiling above the breakfast counter. The room was clean and the staff friendly, but it should not be open while under renovation.
