This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. The front desk told us they were fully booked, despite only 11 vehicles being parked there throughout the day and night. The pool was initially closed, then reopened at 6:30 PM, but it was extremely dirty—filled with dead bugs, trash, and debris. The toilet next to the pool was overflowing with feces, and it appeared that someone had wiped themselves with a paper bag and tossed it into the toilet, clogging it completely. The entire hallway reeked. In room 215, the bed had a dead bug and a large stain on the mattress. Room 217 was equally appalling, with disgusting walls and an oily headboard. The back door was not locked, anyone off the street could gain access into the hotel and up on the hallways, they were hardly any front desk agent or security in this property when we were there. It seems like the hotel only renovated the front exterior and lobby seating area, while the rest of the rooms and hallways remain filthy, smelling of mold and damp carpets. My kids were very tired and I was not feeling well, else I would have left. Plus I wouldn't get my $350 back from the 2 rooms, so we rode it out for 10hrs that we stayed there and left first thing in the morning. I even had to stay outside With my kids for as long as we could, to avoid breathing or cating any bacteria from this hotel.

Initial room at check in was smoke laden. I was moved to another room. The plumbing fixtures were loose...low water pressure....torn bed linens. Staff was pleasant....lobby clean. But room was not good.

Staff members were friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome. The white bed linens were carefully made up though could have been a bit warmer. Nice clean towels. Soap in dispensers a good idea. Not all surfaces in the room were well dusted, i.e. trim around the sink, window sill, etc. There was dust collected around a tangle of wires under the bed. The caulking around the tub was old, some black mold. Could use refurbishing. We had a hard time figuring out the TV control and in the end couldn't turn it off completely. We unplugged it for the night and then couldn't restart it in the morning. Maybe something we did, or didn't do. Some info about the TV remote would have been helpful. We were also looking for info about amenities in the area though the desk clerk cheerfully directed us to a nearby restaurant that served good food. We appreciated that the room was quiet and made it possible for us to get a good night's sleep. Which is afterall the most important thing when you're on the road and away from your own bed.

Our room was infested with bedbugs, DO NOT STAY HERE! Random charge on our card as well! Terrible experience waking kids up in the middle of the night to hurry up and find another hotel. Never ever again will we stay here. Management never called us the next morning either even after our horrible experience!

am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the appalling experience I endured during my recent stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites, Harrisburg PA, on Friday, April [insert exact date]. I had booked a King Bed Room for two nights through Expedia well in advance and drove seven hours from Toronto, Canada, expecting a comfortable and stress-free stay. To my shock, upon arrival, the hotel staff informed me that only a double bed room was available, despite my confirmed reservation for a King Bed. This was completely unacceptable. I calmly explained the situation and requested a solution, yet I was met with indifference and told there were no other rooms available. When I insisted on waiting in the reception area for a resolution, I was told I could not sit there and was threatened with police involvement if I did not leave. Shockingly, the hotel called the police on me, despite my peaceful behavior and legitimate complaint. Only after the police arrived did I agree—under pressure—to accept the incorrect room on the condition that I would be transferred to a King room the following morning if one became available. What happened next was even more appalling. In an effort to make the best of a bad situation, I attempted to push the two beds together to mimic a King-size bed—only to discover a filthy, dust-covered area beneath the beds.
