La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Amarillo Mid-City

Great place

Was listed to have laundry service and didn’t Washer and dryer upstairs and very long walk from our room. Only takes credit card or an app to pay. I only had quarters so after all the energy expended to get there couldn’t wash clothes anyway.. We are both handicapped with walking long distances impossible. Not enough food for everyone in the tiny breakfast area. So many kids running up and down the walk way just outside our door beginning at 0600. No elevator. Outdoor pool. Lots of trash all over the property. Price was good but would have paid more to get better amenities. Check in front desk lady very nice. Check out person flat and dry.

Eggs and sausage not available until the food truck came. By then we had to leave. Breakfast area very crowded. Room was clean and comfortable.

After putting away our items, the tv did not work and the phone to call the front desk did not work. I called from my cell and let them know the issues, they were going to give us a new room but we were so exhausted from a 15 hour drive and did not want to unpack everything we just put in the refrigerator. The lady on the phone was rude. I said I would like some kind of compensation and she said well you booked through a third party so there is nothing we could do. Rather than, I will talk to my manager and see what we could do. In the morning I woke up to a roach crawling down the wall towards our bag that had our utensils. At check out the lady sat in the corner when I told her I had a few issues. She told me to just drop the key card in the box, did not get up and greet us and ask how our stay was. Then when I started to tell her about the Tia h and the tv and ok e she stood up and I let her know I wanted my deposit refunded immediately and would like a manager to know about our experience and would expect some kind of compensation. Not a stay anywhere because we won’t be back. I have never had this kind of experience anywhere so I was disappointed.

Close to highway and dining. Room had water leak in the ceiling over the bed, resulting in lake of sleep.

Room was not “delux”. No bulbs in the lamps. Bathroom was tiny. Difficult to move around. air conditioner made loud noise throughout the night. The room phone was not even hooked up. Ned was ok. TV was ok.

The room smelled funny. Water pressure in the shower was weak. Overall condition of bathroom looked old, needing repairs. Bed was comfortable.

The hotel was awful, after checking in the hotel and going to the room we had to leave and get a new hotel room for the night. The window to the outside was broken, the bathroom vanity had white toothpaste down the side, the glass shower looked like it had not been cleaned ever and the whole room had a foul smell. Did not feel safe there.

Clean room, friendly staff

Staff was nice and helpful, close enough to get where we needed to go easlily. Several restarunts in walking distance. Beds are FIRM. Breakfast good..

Great location for food choices.

Bed was clean but walls and doors were filthy. Homeless people camping in field behind property where our room was located.

Excellent!

Room mostly clean. Fitted sheet had what I am choosing to believe was on old stain. Outside the room grimy, unkempt and horrible condition. Had to make a late night decision to book while traveling through town. Would not go back.

It was ok for a quick stay.

It was a very comfortable room and the staff was excellent. I would definitely recommend it if going through the area

If I could give this place a zero I would. It was very dirty, we left and slept elsewhere. The beds were not big enough and the room does not sleep 5 the advertising is untruthful.

I like being able to park my car right at my room door. and places to go eat right by the hotel. and the rooms were nice and clean.
