La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Amarillo Mid-City

Would not stay here with family ! Had multiple homeless parking carts right in front of our door and going through dumpster . Also had big stray dogs in parking lot was scared to bring my pup out to go to bathroom . Was supposed to stay 2 nights stayed one night received a receipt emailed for pet fee for two nights . Giant spider was in room . Heard either gunshots and fireworks or combo throughout night . DO NOT recommend

Staff were very, very nice. The suite was super affordable and very big and clean. Cleanliness in hallway/stairs could improve!

The staff were AMAZING! Sarah, who checked us in and Lisa, who checked us out. The room so accessible and accommodating for the wheelchair. LOVE this hotel!

We have always been impressed with LaQuunta inn..until this stay. I wasnt expecting a Motel...usually la quinta is a Hotel. The outside photos showonly the lobby door. Its very old but very clean. It seemed a little sketchy. We parked in front of our door so we could watch our car full of stuff. Its ok if you want to save a few bucks.real clean good bedding. Id give it 2 to 3 stars. We will stay somewhere else next time we come thru Amarillo.

This place was gross and run down and in a bad area. Random people walking around in the back alley, just felt unsafe. And the bathroom was dirty and the room had a lot of flies in it. Just posting so that other families do t make the same mistake we made.

I booked this for my brother and nephew who are traveling. They loved it. It was a clean and friendly place to rest and then have breakfast before hitting the road again.

Let me start by saying that the staff members that we encountered were all extremely sweet and kind. So kind that I didn't want to unload all of our complaints on them, but this was by far the worst hotel stay l've ever had. I understand the saying "You get what you pay for," but I would have paid no more than $30 for what we experienced. Instead we paid over $80 for an extremely dirty floor (which left dirt all over my crawling 1-year-olds feet, hands, and knees), a dirty hair-filled shower, stained beddings, MOLDY toilet paper, a broken, loud bathroom fan, and the room faintly smelled of smoke even though we specifically asked for non smoking since traveling with a one-year old. The furniture was all leaning and broken, the closet doors didn't close, and the water pressure in the shower was ridiculously low. It took me forever to try and get the conditioner out of my hair. To top it off, there was no bath tub, so we had to purchase a plastic container from Walmart to bathe our baby in. We had reservations at this same hotel a week later, but I quickly canceled the reservation.

Trash on the ground. Dirty clothes on the ground. A man walking around asking for money while I was walking my dog.

Quick checkin, checkout. Comfy beds and clean bathroom. Good breakfast.

Friendly and accomodating staff. Bathroom though renovated the floor and sside board were peeling and exposed rotten walls. People stayed late and were drinking,they talked laughed loud. We could have slept more without the noise.

Room was old

This is the worst La Quinta Inn there is. I have never expected to see this brand leasing their name to this property. As soon as we opened the door we left and ended up at another, this time, very decent hotel. The pictures on your website are very deceptive.

We noticed in the am that there were squashed gummy bears on the inside of the lamp shades and in different spots in the room. We were so tired we didn’t notice. Neither of us took a shower as it was nasty and u was too tired to clean it

Denny's was in walking distance and the hotel gave us a coupon

Very clean and great to stay as you are passing by or staying in town. Very friendly staff.

Right off the highway so very loud. Room had been remodeled but the attention to detail was terrible. Paint drips everywhere, sagging painted surfaces, beat up door. Overall, a pig in lipstick. It seemed to be clean, however.

Good for traveling through.
