Horrible experience. Used different pictures on Hotels.com to hide the fact they are a Motel. When I contacted Hotels.com, they said I was unable to cancel and after I stayed at a different La Quinta in Amarillo, the Mid-City motel still charged me. I hold Hotels.com the most responsible for false advertising then not letting me cancel or get a refund because I cancelled day of. If the pictures actually reflected the motel I would have never booked it, so how would I have known what it looked like until day of. Hotels.com is a rip off, much easier and cheaper to book through hotels sites directly, especially for La Quinta.

We booked a room that said it slept 5 people. When we got there to check in, we found that it could only accommodate 4 people, with no option for a rollaway bed. While the staff was friendly, there really was no good solution for an incorrect listing. We did look at the room, which was a non smoking room, but smelled like smoke. We had to end up going to a different hotel. Overall, a disappointing experience.

We were concerned about parking our trailer since it seemed like it may seem easy to break into, however we were able to part very close to the room and could keep an eye on it, so that was very reassuring.
The room was nice, however the maintenance was terrible. The AC ran and kept the room very cool but there was a huge puddle of water on the floor in front of the unit... we had to put a towel down and avoid that spot.
Also, we called down about the chirping smoke detector which obviously needed a new battery, but no one ever came up to the room, so we had to remove it entirely to stop the chirping. Unsafe!

The room was very clean and freshly remodeled, but the bed and pillows were plain lumpy & saggy. The area around the motel was a bit old & frayed. Good location from the big highway but road noise bled into the room. I would not choose this motel again.
