MSocial is perfectly situated for walkability or a quick stroll to a subway ride. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very quiet in spite of the hum of the city below. The rooftop bar is a nice amenity. Rooms were clean and decor was fresh and up to date. Our only recommended change would be to the shower floors. The are very slippery as the floor tiles are actually wall tiles - versus smaller, textured ceramic tiles with grout that you typically see. Something for management to consider when changes are made down the road.

As the home base for our first family trip in NYC, we couldn’t ask for more from this hotel. The location was amazing, the room was clean and spacious, and the rooftop bar was fabulous. It was a bonus that there was a gaming area for our teens. I would totally recommend this hotel and will seek it out for future stays!

Do ***NOT*** stay at this property. First, the elevator was broken; created a line out their door to the street to get in. Second, the print out of my bill showed a credit from my deposit BUT they charged more than the entire bill to my credit card!!
BEWARE of their “smoking fee” SCAM!!! No one in my room ever smokes but they “claim” that we smoked in our room, which is totally false. They would not waive the fee and require me to dispute the charge with my credit card company. After my stay, I’ve seen several online reviews stating the same issue.
Their balcony stank of marijuana more than once!
Worst customer service I’ve ever had at a hotel!!! Will not stay again. Highly recommend you do not make the same mistake I did.

The location was fabulous. Literally across the street, maybe 500 yards from the theatre. You could see the Flat Iron building and Jumbotron clearly from the restaurant and rooftop bar.
The beds and pillows were not comfortable. The shower walls had scale. The carpet in the hallway was wrinkled and dirty.
Front desk staff excellent. Our waiter was excellent. Seating person was neglectful. First waiter was rude.

Location was perfect - you are right "outside" the craziness of Times Square and in the heart of theater district. Close to everything - probably the best location I have stayed at in my travels to NYC.
I requested a high floor to avoid noise and was given floor 9 (their lowest floor I think) - I was a bit nervous due to music/crowd in lobby/DJ. My daughter asked if I booked a "party hotel." LOL. While I hear some bass, it shut off every night by midnight and it wasn't an issue with the A/C white noise. I heard no traffic and can't recall hearing other guests or doors slamming like normal hotels. It was a very peaceful stay. All in all, I really liked this hotel option and would recommend it. For reference, I stayed in a city view room with two double beds. My view was really of a rooftop with A/C from the hotel, but I really didn't care about the view so much. They charge a resort fee which gives you $10 bar credit each day (somehow I also got a $60 F&B credit too which I used toward the buffet breakfast); you do NOT get any waters in your room but there is a Duane Reede/CVS store below so I bought two 6-packs of water to put in the fridge in my room.

Would like to give a 5 star review, but I called for a replacement remote (buttons not working) for the TV 3 times and nobody showed up. I gave up after 3 tries. Otherwise, everything else was great.

I appreciate the daily housekeeping services. The in-room safe and refrigerator are convenient. Staff is courteous and helpful. The hotel's location is close to shopping, dining, Broadway theaters and transportation choices.

The property itself is in a great location. However for the rate they are lacking in service. It would be nice to have complimentary coffee and water as well as bathroom toiletries. The elevators were not always working and neither was our television. They just seem to lack the extras that you would expect for a hotel that is not advertised as a basic accommodation.
