MainStay Suites Grantville - Hershey North

Stayed for a softball tournament. It must be the place to be for kids’ sporting events. The manager was FANTASTIC about making sure parents were responsible for their kids, politely and effectively ensuring quiet time at 10:30. The room’s heat/air didn’t work but the room was comfortable. All of the amenities were amazing - dishwasher, big fridge, microwave, sink, dishes/utensils, two beds AND a pull out couch, table and chairs, etc. etc. etc. And for a GREAT price!

Ummm...it wasn't horrible but I paid extra for a room with a balcony and didn't end up with a room that had a balcony. The first night the heater in my room just wouldn't help with the room being a comfortable temp...I was either too cold or too hot, the fan couldn't stop running to keep it warm and if you didn't keep it running it was too cold. I did write a check in review, they did go to my room and check the heater and give me the option to switch rooms or give me a discount on that room for the second night stay if I chose to stay in that room that evening. I decided to stay in the room. I've discovered that I didn't get the discount for the room, so that's kind of disappointing. I like the arcade and pool, they were decent. Chlorine was a bit much and burned your eyes, but not a deal breaker either. It wasn't horrible.

Last minute stay. Price & service were great, room could use some more attention with cleaning & maintenance.

The facility was very nice. Nice pool area, even an arcade for the kids. The staff were extremely friendly, especially Dusty. Highly recommend and will be back again next time I am in the area.

The hotel was nice. The only problem we had was noisy neighbors. They had a bunch of kids who were messing around with the door between the rooms. They were also very loud with the mom screaming at the kids. Other than the noisy neighbors the hotel was great. Will definitely stay here again.

I usually never have an issue here but this time was different… when we showed up it took us 25-30 mins for the front desk person to be off the phone and acknowledge us for checkin! Usually check in takes us about 5 minutes and i understand the front counter person was on the phone but at some point it would’ve been nice for her to quickly put the person on hold and quickly check us in as it was already 9:30pm on a Crappy snowy night!! And then when she was finally off the phone she asked us if we needed an accessible room because Expedia had us in a 1 Bed King that was handicap accessible and we said no if you have something else king we’d gladly switch so if someone needed the accessible room they could have it!! She then told us she had another room with a jacuzzi tub and I said that’s fine but I’d rather pay extra as it wasn’t my mistake that the room was accessible, she proceeded to tell me it would be a little extra which I would’ve been fine paying for… well this is where is gets funny she tells me it’ll be more then the little extra… She couldn’t explain why it went up so much so she then told us she would put us back in the room we originally booked!! We finally get to our room around 9:55 only to realize we didn’t get the 1 bed king room we paid for she ended up putting us in a 2 bed queen room… at this point I was so tired, stressed and hungry that I just wanted to eat and go to sleep, so we slept and checked out early in the morning! Almost felt ripped off…

Friendly staff, very clean

Clean, comfortable, afordable. Best bang for the buck. Plus its a suite with full kitchen.

Excellent and professional team, easy check in and out. Room was clean and convenient. Location was great for shopping, dining and close to casino for entertainment areas

We've been staying at this hotel for YEARS and It has went so downhill. Our room was 50 degrees when we arrived and the heat unit was completely unplugged from the wall. We plugged it in and turned it on and it NEVER got warm turns out it must of been broken because it would only blow cold air. We had to sleep in sweat shirts sweat pants and socks and still FROZE. It was 14 degrees outside and our hotel room was unbearably cold. When I told the front desk all they did was apologize for the inconvenience. I would think they could of gave us some kind of credit or discount on our room because after spending the money to stay and then not even having heat in the dead of winter was RIDICULOUS. On top of that our key cards wouldn't unlock the game room we had to go ask the front desk. Then we tried to let the kids play the arcade games but you have to put money on a reward card and the machine for that wouldn't work either. Lastly they took the slide out of the pool which we were super disappointed about because the kids look forward to it every year. All in all after coming to this hotel for the past 15 years this experience really discouraged us from ever coming back.

Really enjoyed our stay

The staff was very very helpful and made sure that we were fully taken care of!! The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable the room was also nice and clean
