MainStay Suites Grantville - Hershey North

We stayed at this property last year. It was fine. Not sure if it’s just the rooms we were given. BUT This property needs some TLC. The first room we were assigned smelled like the sewer was backed up. The second room seemed fine until you got to the bathroom. Caulking around the tub is full of mold. Toilet needs scrubbing and bleach to remove brown stains in the bowl. Frame around the mirror in the bathroom needs either painted or replaced and faucet is rusting. I feel for the price point this hotel should keep up with repairs.😕

Brandy at the front desk was very friendly and made the check in process pleasant. The free breakfast isn’t bad but isn’t great which is fine. The room has just enough accommodations for an extended stay. As a suggestion, bring your own soap and coffee. Other than that. The hotel is great for the price we paid.

Everything was great but it didn't seem like any cleaning personnel had gone through our room while we were away and replace any blankets, towels, etc. so I give them a one star on that. However, the staff at the front desk were great and very friendly.

It's a little outdated but great for the price!

This property is our go to for our yearly Hershey Park vacation. Everything was wonderful as usual especially Francesco that works there!! He was so friendly and accommodating ❤️ The kids loved the pool and especially the arcade.

This room was such a good deal. You literally have a small kitchen in there. Also theres a pool, gameroom, laundry, free breakfast. Very good deal.

We stayed there a couple years ago, i missed they took out the miniature golf.

The inside was clean but there wasn’t anywhere for people to hang out besides the small breakfast area which we got kicked out of at 9:30. There’s a game room with no tables or chairs, there’s a back deck with no tables or chairs both of which we had to be out of by 10:00. It was a holiday weekend and we were there for a soccer tournament so we all felt like 10:30 or 11:00 would have been a better time to send us to bed. The room I was in had a handicapped chair in the bathroom that someone would use in their shower which is fine except they put our bath towels that we needed to use on the seat where someone else’s butt was and the other hand towels were on a towel bar directly next to the toilet that flushes and sprays so that was gross. The pillow situation was super weird, like it looked like rolled up towels shoved in a pillow case that was only big enough for your head to lay on, like you couldn’t flip from side to side without bringing your pillow with you to stay under your head.

Great stay

I stopped overnight on a long drive and booked this room at the last minute. Not only was it a convenient location, it was a clean room and the front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. I did not stay long enough to use the mini kitchen but stay at Mai Stay on a future trip and take advantage of it.

Family Friendly

Came down to Hershey for a little getaway away for a wedding and some park time with my family. Place is super dated. My room was infested with spiders. I disposed of 5 myself and then finally called the front desk at 10pm and they came down and disposed of some more. They were apologetic but told us they had no more rooms available. 5 minutes later, miraculously one became available. We move my whole family up to another room at 1030 pm, which the room was a little better. Came down for breakfast the next morning and it was just awful. They advertise free breakfast but it really is not something to be proud of offering. Upon checking out we asked to discuss our stay with the manager. They took our info and 3 days later we have not heard from them. Very disappointing and would certainly look for other options.

Very dirty rooms.

Exceptional value during “off season” …especially compared to other accommodations in the area. Staff professional and make every effort to see that your stay is a good experience. Fabio’s Italian restaurant right next door … excellent food.

The front desk person was nice and pleasant. We have stayed here before but the upkeep has deteriorated. The curtains in the room was ripped. The bed had bent frame legs. Chair in the room was broken.

Has a great indoor pool, indoor basketball court, pool table, and small nice arcade center Keeps the family entertained especially if it’s a rainy day. The rooms are very clean but a little worn in the bathroom. It’s less than 15 minute drive to Hershey park and for the price…. It’s worth it
