Marriott's Ocean Pointe

Beautiful, clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

Too many kids

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend at the Marriott's Ocean Pointe. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa and the room was wonderful. The view was incredible...we were at the end of the building with clear views of the pool and ocean and we enjoyed watching the boats travel through the inlet daily. The full kitchen was nice, as we like to have coffee and eat breakfast in the room before beginning our days. The different pool areas were great...the pool at our building was very low-key, but we could head to the other pool areas for more activity.

Property was not well kept. Rooms were dirty and no attention to detail. Check in experience was not good, front desk agent had attitude.

First thing to say is this is not a hotel, so of expecting a "hotel" experience, you will be disappointed. Its a timeshare, and the differences are small but significant. We booked a 1 bedroom but ahead of time wanted to upgrade to a 2 bedroom. We got no respinse tonour numerous emails via hotels.com. o eventually measaged directly and got no help, saying rhey couldnt findy booking. We arrived anyway and I tried to upgrade at checkin. Sorry as you booked via hotels.com you have to cancel and rebook. So i had hours on chat to hotels.com to upgrade. They have to call the hotel to checl they are happy ro cancel without penalty. By the time it was sorted the 2 beds had sold out! As it tranapired, the sofabed in our room was not fit to sleep on amyway as it was broken! The marriot out my daughter and I in a second room until thw morning, then i repeated the above to upgrade for our second night. This meant our first afternoon/evenkng was conpletely wasted, then spme of the next day (our only full day) spent movjng rooms. However, our 2 bedroom was ocean view and the views were stunning. The apartments themselves are very nice, but need a better clean. A dirty tissue found in our first room on the floor and a vape in the bed in our second one. This brings me onto one of the biggest issues. As its a timeshare the care int wh common areas in the apartment buildings is awful. They are filthy. The pools are nice enough, just busy.

I liked the privacy and safety in the property. They have activities you could do.

The pool water in all the pools were uncomfortably warm; it was very hot weather wise but better care to the pools needs to be done. The pools were also filthy and seemed to need more chemical treatments to them. We paid for an ocean front room were ocean front facing but had zero view of the water. We had palm trees and the brush on the sand blocking the entire view. We booked this in January and were disappointed our request for an ocean front were not met. There are several towers for rooms; they wanted to put us in the last tower which was a 10 minute walk to the main area and it was not ocean front. We were able to switch to the main area to “ocean front” but it wasn’t really ocean front at all. It’s a vacation club property so if your looking for a quiet more classy fit of a resort stay I would not recommend.

1st floor dark, dirty and tired oceanfront villa. Low cellular reception and spotty wi-fi, dropped out often. Expended materials piled up around service areas (empty boxes, containers, bags, etc.). Lots of visible wear and tear/stains on furnishings and heavy usage appearance on and around doors. Trash accumulation on rooftops just outside of windows and balcony (cigarette butts/broken beer bottles, banana peels…) The property is well overdue for a refresh.

Green water in the jetted bathtub and the staff claimed was normal. i used to live in that town and never had green water in my tub. Clean the jets or get a filtration system. I wouldn't drink the water after they told me that
