Very quaint historical site comfy

Clean and quaint.

We had a long drive, tired and ready for rest

Liked homey atmosphere in quaint area. Fixtures in bathroom were old.

The property is unique and a motel style which is charming. Our room was not very clean, the floor was sticky and seems like it needs a good scrubbing. There was left over bread in the refrigerator from a previous guest, our bath towels had toothpaste and hair on them from a previous guest so have a hunch the towels were not replaced after the previous guest. The pillows only had a cover on them and no encasement which is not very hygenic.

Quiet little place, bagels for breakfast and slightly run down.

This is definitely an experience from days gone by. Built in the 1950s, it is the voice of class. The hotel is laid out as a “hotel village”, with multiple buildings that draw interest like a beautiful painting. Even though it is mildy in need of refurbishment, I would not have traded my stay! The huge and uncommonly shaped tub alone, is worth it to see. The staff is absolutely wonderful in totality, (very much appreciated). I will most assuredly return in the future for another enjoyable stay. Thank you Merry Acres Inn for being a reminder of when class was classy!!

We had a wonderful time. The Pub and especially Joel the amazing mixologist made the best esspresso martinis ever. He was so friendly and made our trip extra special.

It is an older property, but it has been thoughtfully updated with a sympathetic eye to the period in which it was built with modern comfort in mind. There is a lot to love about this property, but one must give the highest ranking to the staff. They are attentive, engaged, and so very kind.

I used to live in Albany and this place is a landmark. It is one of the few remnants of the old "motor courts" of the late 40's - early 50's. The staff eagerly helps with the old southern style. After an evening with old friends, I had a to go plate. Forgot I didn't live here & did not ask for a plastic fork. A staff member named Shawn

If you like the sounds of constant roosters crowing in the morning, then this is the place for you. This reminded it of the scene from the movie “My Cousin Vinny”.

They were extremely accommodating and pleasant. The room was inexpensive and clean and comfortable.

Motel setting with country vibe! Great restaurant- bar! Great service! Be prepared for a 4:30 wake up call by the 9+ roosters and one adorable cat!!

It’s a motel and nothing close to merry. This was so horribly bad that it became comical. I booked the “executive suite” (nothing suite about it - average size room) and they put us RIGHT next to the loud pub and registration building. Finally the pub noise dwindled down around 1am, but then roosters started at 3:30am and never stopped - only getting closer and closer to our room windows… After finally tuning them out and starting to relax a little, one of the workers started having a LOUD (actually yelling) conversation right by our window at 7:30am. And then housekeeping opened the door at 8am and again at 9am even after I said “no thank you!”. We gave up on sleep and had headaches the rest of the day, all for the price of $150. In summary: rude staff, misleading pictures, damp/old room, broken door handle, rooster and dog noises … the list goes on. The only single redeeming quality was the shower water pressure. That was actually impressively good. Otherwise, total ripoff.

The staff were friendly and efficient. We liked the chickens. However, the room was showing its age and seemed dirty and in poor repair. The "continental breakfast" was nearly non-existent and the coffee did not taste good.

I liked that it was a 'neighborhood style' setting. It gave me a homey first impression of the hotel.

I stay at merry acres weekly. Cute place, safe, and quiet.
