Motel 6 Fort Lauderdale, FL

Hotel called day of and cancelled our reservation because they overbooked. We hv no place to stay. All hotels in the area are booked. Would not recommend! Tom Bodet did not leave the light on for us!! Zero stars

Clean hotel but noisy not from traffic but residents.

I’ve been recovering from surgery. Came there so I could be close to family & doctor. I was in the room 2 weeks and asked to get the room clean. Took them 4 days to decide. No sheets changed the entire time. I did get fresh towels. No big bags of trash picked up and I had a big bag as I was buying DoorDash etc & they all come with bags and boxes. I was asked if I would take out my things and they would give me a fresh room. I was up at 8:30am per their phone call.& told to wait in room. 5 hours of sitting in the room, at 1:30pm a female came in and doesn’t deserve to be a called a lady. She shthe place is a mess I needed to leave. She said what’s all this stuff because I was to take everything out. I said I did take my things. Those are your sheets & towels etc. they have not been changed in about 3 weeks. She said leave. Not renting to you. I said I have been told that I am getting a new room and if I wasn’t, why am I still here at 1:30pm? She had nothing to say and wasted my time of recuperation and I my kitty was put in a carry case since 9am waiting to move. Animal cruelty by this woman. I’ve talked to my lawyer. Not done here. There was one gentleman that at the front desk and was kind and helpful to me. I wish I knew his name as I wanted to say thank you to him but I assume I don’t b/c I was just out of hospital. He has an accent that sounded Russian to me. Which is a compliment from me. Thank you to that gentleman. My lawyer says we are not through here.

I did not stay at this facility due to the fact that it was not in a safe area!

Pros: Proximity to the airport. Front desk staff was fairly helpful. Somewhat cheaper than other options in the area. Cons: Check in was late by about an hour and a half. Despite check-in being delayed, the room still wasn't cleaned properly as areas of the floor were still sticky/dirty. Not much within walking distance. Unless you're on a budget don't think I would recommend, but it did the bare minimum for a short stay/early flight out.

Nicole the manager was amazing. Although the property itself is ok. It's been upgraded, but still looks a little run down I would stay again because of Nicole. This is a person who likes her job and to help people. The guests on top of me seemed like every night they were moving furniture very loud. I was so tired I didn't want to complain.

There are very strange people staying in this place. A lady was going through the halls cursing through the night, another lady who clearly soiled herself walked the halls barefoot trying a key card on every door. The hallways had a mixture of off smells. Room was not well kept with the floor flat out dirty, a broken AC unit, and baseboards peeling off the wall. Definitely not worth ever considering, even for a 1 night stay before a cruise.

The reviews from others are misleading. I never ever leave reviews, but I had to for this one. Don’t stay here, especially if you’re with family. We flew in late, and needed a place to stay for one night, or we would’ve left. Area was sketchy, people just sitting in the cars in the parking lot, smelled awful in hallways & stairways, and room reek of smoke, I literally had to sleep with a mask on. Didn’t sleep at all & couldn’t wait til the sun came up to leave & take my family from that place. Book somewhere else.

Sketchy area, people slamming doors all night and loud talking, people coming and going at all hours. Smelled like weed in the hallways. Very unclean floor and subpar overall, at best. Do not bring your kids here. The pool was good, but that was the only redemption of this hotel. Stay somewhere else!

The front desk person told us she had to let us in and out the room because something was wrong with the keys very inconvenient and dirty

Rooms were very clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Pricess we’re good.

Room was clean and comfortable but we were not given a key. So anytime we left the room we had to go to the front seat to have them unlock it for us

We decided to book here for a night stay before taking a cruise. We arrived quite late at the hotel just to rest and there were no keys available. The front desk staff had to bring us to our room. The hallway shows old paint, and signs of mold. Same for the room. The sheets didn’t seem to be perfectly clean, we found some hair and some stains, so we slept on our clothes. We paid a very high rate for this motel and we didn’t feel we got the service for this price level. There is a disconnect between some of the positive comments on Google and the real state of the property. We will avoid at all costs.
