Last min solo stay — because of rain and snow I didn't go to the campground but instead found this darling resort. It is pet friendly with a friendly staff and a wonderful pub style dining room.

The location is great, the restaurant in the property is fabulous but only works from Thursday to Sunday. Doesn't have the facilities of a hotel.

Narrow Gauge isn’t really the place they’re advertising. Our room had a cracked window, drippy paint where they repainted but didn’t tape off or remove outlets and things, you had to get up to point the tv remote to the box BEHIND the television for it to work , they claim everyone has a balcony but it’s the shared balcony that you have to walk down to get to your room. Our view was a separate building with more rooms facing us. The property was run down and pretty cluttered with, for lack of a better word, junk. We also had an issue with our shower water getting hot. The staff was great, however. Elaina (I believe was her name) was lovely and listened to my complaints and remedied what she was able. She was excellent. And the restaurant was fantastic as well. We had the Coloradian elk loin and it was incredible. One of the best meals I’ve had! The decor is really fun too. The staff there was amazing as well.

Check in and check out hours are very limited. The beds were comfortable and overall experience was good. The room has a view of the forest and is quite peaceful.

The staff member who checked me in was very helpful and kind. The rooms are a bit outdated but they give it a “cabin in the woods” vibe that matches well with the location. Room and bathroom were very spacious, which was a nice surprise.

Quite a relaxing trip - we were there on the restaurant's re-opening weekend but even with a limited menu the food was tasty. Wonderful location to come back after seeing the magnificent FireFall

Sam and everyone here were amazing. Quaint Inn with a real feel of a lodge. We were able to stay in one of the bigger rooms/suites that was great. The Inn is undergoing upgrades across the board and it is obvious they are doing all they can to make sure guests are taken care of. The restaurant (Aroma) has fantastic food, owned by a family, and the decor and ambience are about as Yosemite/Mtn as you can get, down to fire in the stone fireplace and stuffed deer/elk heads.

Quaint and comfy room in the trees. Beds were very comfortable and the staff was accommodating. We stayed one night to hike in Yosemite and it was close to the entrance, which was very convenient - it’s only 12 min drive from Maroposa Grove entrance.

Had a great time! We’ve made it a tradition to spend the holidays at the narrow gauge inn. Having Christmas Eve dinner at Aroma was great experience. This was our third year staying during the holidays. We will be back again next year !
