Ramada by Wyndham State College Hotel & Conference Center

This hotel is so cute! The staff is very friendly and professional. The hotel super clean, organized with many options of food. Indoor and outdoor pool. Bottles of water are free! The bar and halfway is all decorated with frames of pictures from famous artists, sport players, musicians and their original signatures. Lovely place to stay.

This is an older property, which would be just fine if they kept it up. Front desk staff seemed to spend most of their time in the office, unable to see when guests came to the desk for help. Upon getting to our room, we immediately noticed the toilet had major build up inside the bowl - despite 2 separate requests during our week long stay, it was never cleaned. There were also dirty areas in most corners of our room, showing that it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. The hot tub was nice on the one evening that it actually worked, but the jets wouldn't come on the rest of our stay. If you stay here on a weekend, be aware that there will likely be parties renting the pool and atrium area, so it will be very loud, especially since noise echoes throughout the main building. Also, the restaurant is closed 2 nights a week. All that being said, it wasn't a horrible stay. There were some helpful and friendly staff. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a desk & chair in the room. As our stay went on, we were able to laugh as each new quirky thing came along by pretending we were in a sitcom and these were just plot twists thrown into the script. Next time we go to State College, I will definitely be looking for somewhere else to stay.

Half the facility was under construction. There were outdoor doors to rooms, which I was unaware of. You were able to easily access inside the hotel without using they key to enter. Anyone could just walk in at any time. Housekeeping went into my room when the privacy door was on and left towels "as requested", I didn't request towels.

At first it looked good, but everything was falling apart. The vanity light didn't work. The bathroom light was set on a timer for 15 minutes, so if you took a 16 min shower the lights would turn off and you would have to get out of the shower to turn the timer. The beds were uncomfortable. The best thing was the breakfast and it was tasteless

I didn’t like the fact are toilet was broken called maintenance. Air conditioner wasn’t working properly called maintenance. Lights in bathroom and sink area went the morning I left. I told front desk when checking out.

Dirty, worn, ridiculous check in, really lax security- I was actually issued a key to someone else's room. Fortunately I’m honest & the rightful occupants weren't there at the time. You get what you pay for. After one night it was worth it to me to rent a different room in town and eat the cost of my non-refundable reservation.

The room was ok the walls very dirty with dirty boots and cloths outside the others room no elevators in the area that we stay and we had to walk a lot with the luggage the breakfast so poor

Old property, dirty bathrooms and noisy air conditioning

Room smelled, the door had to be kicked to close, no toilet paper, no hot water.

Staff and check in was excellent but bathroom was slippery because of type of tile and needed a safty bar near toilet indoor pool area is was clean and tidy inside the pool area was very slippery again because of tile used and railing for getting in and out was a bit loose i like that it had a lift for parents with special needs children or any person that needed this type of lift not seen in a lot of places i have stayed

Suspected feces on inside of bathroom door beside doorknob. Toilet running very often (wrong sized flap over outlet).. Not notified that Inside pool and hot tub would be out of service. Was told notification on web site but not added until after I made my reservation. Shower valve not functional. Freezer compartment in mini-fridge half full of frost.

Everything except the paint odors was good

The room was comfortable. Parking was convenient. A lovely stay.

Check with any place your staying to see if the pool is open. They were renovating and access to the room was difficult. The grass was full of holes/ rat dens. The room was par the best thing was the Dove products. The bed hurts like hell!

The place was in need of attention for a remodel.

We booked this hotel to use a pool and hot tub on our way to another destination and it was closed for maintenance! The bathroom was very dirty. Drops of blood or stool by the toilet that did not come from us. The front desk staff was very nice, but the other workers were odd and some were smoking right by the entrance. This place seems to be on its way downhill.
