This Red Lion in Coos Bay Ore has always and still is AWESOME. Very quiet even on highway. Close to down town, on the bay, Starbucks and Coos Bay Museum ( very nice ) across the street. Close to Mill Casino and Pancake Mill. I believe nicest hotel in Coos Bay.

I was amazed that a Red Lion property couldn't even provide a place for hanging coats and such in the non existent closet area. At the desk table area there were no electrical outlets for my laptop and printer, but next to the bed there were no less than 6. Had to run an extension cord and power strip for the work area, glad I brought them. The wifi didn't really work, saved by my hotspot. It takes more than a wrought iron sconce lighting and a pillow top mattress to be a Red Lion.

We thought this was a hotel but it’s a motel. Room smelled like stale old smoke even though it was a non-smoking property. Overall the room was clean but we thought more of a hotel vs motel. Which for a motel it is clean.

We were upgraded to a 2 room suite; the 2nd bedroom had NO light bulbs. Took 1 from the 1st room (1 lamp was missing a bulb in 1st room) and placed it in the 1 working lamp in the 2nd room. Hotel in beginning stages of being run down, but bed was comfortable, bathroom was very clean so we were comfortable for one night. Desk persons at check-in and check-out were very nice and helpful.

This is a 2 star hotel, not 3!
Breakfast was old breakfast burrito, granola bars and juice. But get it before 9 or its gone and they dont restock even though advertised til 10.
Showers were moldy, cable went in and out, ice maker was hidden 25 rooms away and housekeeping never came for fresh towels.
Coos bay is an industrial town, but i expected more for $135 a night here.

Heater didn’t work in room. Had to have maintenance go up to fix it after checking in, then was very loud once working. Bathtub full of hair from previous guest. Did not feel clean.
