The rooms were redone somewhat recently. They are large rooms compared to more "modern" hotels. There is a bar and restaurant on property. The food was limited in choice but well prepared and tasty. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was turned off for the season (March) so we had to open the outside sliding glass door to the balcony to cool the room and make it comfortable for sleeping. There were two sinks in the bath area and a nice walk-in shower. What made the stay great was the front wait staff. Very friendly and accommodating!

Had a great family vacation here staff was so helpful & friendly!Top notch service from everyone that helped us. Has a bar & grill with live music sometimes, affordable & good breakfast buffet, & mini coffee shop on site! The room was clean and good sized. We had everything we needed & more here. We will be back.

The stay went really well. The only problem is is sleeping close to the freeway you can hear all the traffic also waking up to a dog barking other than that all around good trip.

Visited Redding for a weekend wedding, Red Lion had everything we needed. Perfect location, 5-10 min walk to grab a quick bite or breakfast. 5-10 min drive from main attraction. We will be back! Thank you to the staff for being accommodating, the late check out was a nice touch!

They did not give me the room I reserved. I reserved a non handicap room with a king bed. I was given a handicap room with 2 queens. The shower was awful...no water pressure at all. The floors in the room were very dirty. Two dogs were barking across the hall. And the air conditioning did not function at all.

The guy below us was smoking so much weed, our entire room smelled absolutely horrible. We tried turning on the ac to get rid of the smell, which didn’t work. So we opened the sliding glass door, only to find him in the parking lot staring and waiving at us, so we had no choice but to close the door. Around 2 am, he started screaming, throwing, and slamming things, until 3 am. It almost sounded like he fired a gun. I felt terrified, especially since I have a baby. The next morning, the hotel turned off the water without notice and my shower was just a trickle of water. To be honest I have never felt more miserable, exhausted, and scared in a hotel. I was supposedly also supposed to get free drinks with our room and we were never offered any. There wasn’t a vending machine near our room to buy water, so that was that. What a terrifying experience.

Needed a night away from flooding storm. Would have been better with a free breakfast..more n more hotels adding restraints higher cost not any better than drive thru food.😟😟😵.. I miss the waffles ,yogurt,fruit,and an egg.! This hotel is good but I wish they would put the jacuzzis back in more rooms , relaxing is also being forgotten. Wine is not my option. 💚

We just stayed here for one evening on our road trip to Southern California. It was good enough for our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was lots of parking. The rooms had hard floors, so it was a bit cold and the pool doors were all locked, even though the staff said it was open, so the kids were a bit disappointed.

The beds are always comfortable and the rooms decently clean. The floors and paint are in rougher shape but overall solid stay. The biggest bummer was the pool and hottub were closed and the shower had poor water pressure and a worse shower head. The breakfast was solid and the restaurant onsite is good.

The property appeared old and not kept up: Items like dirty carpet and repairs made in the rooms looked like they were done by armatures all give the appearance of a run-down facility with no "pride in ownership".

Steve, the overnight check-in receptionist, was so friendly and hospitable, when we arrived at 2am. This guy deserves a raise. Our room was seemingly clean and sufficient.

Having a bar on site was convenient. That said, we had to pay a cover to get in because there was a DJ that night. The drinks were twice as much as Aoolebees across the street and the music blared so loud we had to yell to be heard by others at our own table. Breakfast offering was OK. The service from the lady who manages breakfast was stellar! She helped me locate hot water and honey for my tea.

The outdoor hot tub was clean hot bubbly and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Our room was nice clean and well appointed. Staff was very nice.
