This is the most rubbish hotel I have ever stayed in. When I entered the room, there were fingernails on the bedside table and a big spider web on the ceiling. Breakfast doesn't seem to belong to the hotel, it seems to be outsourced to private people, and it tastes terrible. It's just rubbish. What impressed me the most was a staff member at the front desk, whose name was Ricky. He was very nice, friendly and patient. Your hotel has such staff, which is your greatest treasure.

Did not honor the VIP from my reservation. Hot water problems and staff was not welcoming.

Staff was extremely friendly and nice. Love the pool area. The bar and resturant had a DJ both nights we were there so we had an amazing time! The bar tender was great and made fantastic drinks. Place is a little older and needs some upkeep and remold but it was clean, comfortable and we felt safe. Will definitely stay here again.

Its situated close to dining options, shopping centers, and has a nice swimming pool and a warm jacuzzi

They don’t do daily cleanup

While the front desk people tried their best and moved my room twice, they simply didn’t have any ability to fix the issues. The level of noise from humming, buzzing equipment in the building made it impossible to sleep. Exhausting experience - you will do better in a cheap motel.

The clock in the room and a client cannot change it. Have wait until the morning for maintenance!! Which is when I was checking out!!

I / We saved over $100 for two rooms / two nights through Expedia ! Great hotel / great location / has a bar & grill / easy and safe parking / Restaurants across the street .. Our assistant, Duval, is exceptional at what he does- and goes the extra mile ! ..i’d stay there again 👍

We always like staying at the Red Lion. It's a little dated, but nothing major. The rooms are clean and it has a fun retro 70's feel to it. My only quibble is that the food in the lounge has become really mediocre. The service was good, but the food wasn't even trying to be good.

Clean comfortable rooms.

Strange layout of property. Sort of like “you can’t get there from here”! Some updating is needed, property starting to age. Electronic lock to hallway from parking lot was inoperable. Reported to front desk, was repaired the next morning. Most likely battery replacement. Overall it was a nice stay and we would stay if we pass through Redding again.

Fine hotel pricy breakfast didn’t look great

The staff was good, very helpful and courteous. no one cleaned our room and we stayed two nights , we kept having to go up to the lobby to have our keys reprogrammed and we weren't the only ones. we had to do it three times, it was very inconvenient.

Looks great, decent location, cleanliness is very poor. They obviously don’t check the rooms or outdoors. We had a pet room on the ground floor, however the actual bedroom floor was filthy, we mopped up some spilled water and the towel was black. Outside the patio doors was littered with cigarette bits and the smell of weed from other guests was terrible. Our room stank of stale smoke. Bar was lively, we never got our complimentary beverages as we saw beer being served in plastic cups with the barmaids painted nails inside the glass and liquid. I asked about towels for swimming and the nice receptionist suggested if there were none out there, to call reception. Obviously she knew there would be none, and she was correct. Basically very thin on staff, badly run hotel, with quality control and training issues. Breakfast was good and the pool looked decent.

This place has been in suspended animation since the 70s but in the best way. I could imagine families parking their trucks with boats in tow to spend a night or two and then head to the lake back when the Shasta waterline was full. And like they were in the time capsule as well, the locals still show up for live music and drinks (most likely covers of Eagles songs). It’s got the charm of 80s movies set in the PNW but it’s not trying to. The area around the property is a little sketch at night and it’s surrounded by a mall with Darden chain restaurants. But the hotel grounds are actually pretty nice. The staff were great too.

The room was old looking worn out! Bathroom sink didn’t drain; A/C wouldn’t shut off; TV didn’t work!

We've traveled to this motel 4 times this year just for weekend getaway The highlight always has been the hot tub and the pool This time though the hot tub was out of order and I didn't call first my mistake Some Compensation would have been in order just make sure you call first
