Red Roof Inn Meriden

My room wasn't clean. I had to wipe down too many items in the room. The room rate was fair for the area, and my stay was on the weekend. The gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant.

Property was dirty felt unsafe a lot of noise in hallway only stayed for a couple hours before having to leave

The place was fine. But I think it could use some renovation.

This place was terrible my kids were scared to fall asleep as well as using the bathroom- which got backed up after my son pooped in it. I called the front desk and I was told that housekeeping will be there in the morning. The guy finally came with a plunger after I told him that my son need to use the toilet again.

Police were in the lobby arresting people with weapons drawn. Outside of that (and other visits from the police for other issues). Our room reeked of cigarettes, the ice machines were broken, the floors were dirty, and our bathroom had a hole in the wall. We had to check out early.

Run down hotel. Bed was comfortable.

Convenient location, easy access to major highways. Room was nicely furnished with a real workstation, but lacked a microwave or a mini-refrigerator.

Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in my lifetime. First, the pictures are very deceiving. The hotel does NOT look as nice as the pictures. They need to take some new pictures as the current pictures are false advertisement. Upon entering the hotel, the automated door was practically falling apart (that should have been a sign for me). Check in was okay, though the manager was yelling at the other worker for something. I use to work in hotel management and that should not be done in front of guest. Elevator was filthy and smelled old and was run down. Room was "okay", but I know I booked a superior room which looked bigger than the room I had. The room had water stains on the ceiling, stains on the wall, hair in the fridge (how does that happen?) and toilet. The toilet was literally on the ground. It felt like was going out in the woods. Shower was dirty and uncleanly. The only thing that was good, was the bed was comfortable. The walls were super thin, so you could hear everything next door and above you. Super LOUD at night. Doors are so close together, you can hear people coming in and out and doors were loud and slammed. If you are sensitive to noise, this is not the hotel for you. I prefer a quiet, nice and safe hotel. Parking lot was very shady and attracted lots of shady characters and things going on and I just didn't feel safe in that hotel. It was a dump and will NEVER stay at a Red Roof Inn ever.

Not clean, shady.

With in the first 2 hours fire alarm started beeping, they were up and fixed it immediately. That was good. Second night woke up to police knocking on door across the hall , that was unsettling. Beds were comfortable, nothing special but have had much worse. It is worn but if you want reasonable with no frills it is exceptableable.

Good average hotel

Everything was average, nothing special about it. Lacked hot water in the shower.
